They take special care in their barrel selection using "centre ring" wood from trees between 70 and 80 years old, and they claim to have the highest rejection rate for barrels in the industry. Their whiskey chill-filtered and bottled for a taste that's "pleasantly sweet" with a "long dry finish." Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream liqueur is a Kentucky-style spin on the popular Irish cream liqueurs (think Baileys) - but featuring bourbon instead of Irish whiskey. Buffalo Trace claim that the cream complements the vanilla flavours of their signature bourbon.
