Great combo to keep balance
Loving my copper and zinc. My ratio was a little off and I was taking zinc to up my number a bit. Got a few gray hairs pop up which let me know, I was pushing too much copper out. Tried this combo and am happy with the balance it gives me. I take zinc 2x a week and this 3x a week to optimize my ratio!... Show more

Great for hypothyroidism!
I have added this to my daughter's "stinky pills" she calls them (selenium, iodine, multivitamins, biotin) and somehow once I added the zinc her HAIR has gotten so much THICKER! She was taking all of the others for months before adding Zinc so don't tell me it's the biotin. It wasn't. I stumbled across a doctor saying that supplementing with zinc while treating alopecia (she doesn't have anything that severe but the top is thinner than the rest) helped MORE than just the meds alone. So WHAM! I went to Bulletproof because I love (read-can't live without) their Brain Octane EVERY SINGLE DAY and use their Iodine for my daughter as well. And now I am back to reorder and it's SOLD OUT!? I'll flip out if it isn't back soon! I need to keep a month ahead of her (ha! punny ... Not very fast! But I have moons again! SO yes. Buy this. It does stuff. Good stuff.... Show more

I have 3 or 4
I have 3 or 4 bottles that when I take it, I belch, and it tastes like it is rancid. I belch tis for a while each night. I smelled the bottle, and it smelled rancid. I would open another bottle and the same. I tried another bottle, and it did not smell, and I have had no belching. I don't know how the other bottles are. At first, I thought it was like that and was ok till I opened the one that didn't smell. I never smelled them before because there was no problem.I threw those bottles out.Cheri Rapson... Show more

My voyage to being "normal" for the first time in my life
Aloha,This supplement has been outstanding for me as its keeping my almost 59 year old body, full of 99% black hair as well as help me keep my hormones' well balanced. Perfect formulation at a great price.
Only perfect zinc/copper formula I could find. Zinc orotate and copper orotate are the most easily used by the human body and the proportions are at the amounts recommended. Since I need extra zinc, I take this twice a day. I’m grateful for having found this. And am really glad for the good price.... Show more

Trust in Bulletproof
Just started taking this Bulletproof supplement. I've been supplementing Zinc for a while, and this is my (long overdue) entre into Copper. Since stumbling onto Bulletproof, I've so appreciated their science-backed research and have grown to trust they're findings that Zinc & Copper are in sync when taken together to promote a whole host of benefits... Unsure
Not sure about this one. Hopefully the long-term effects will take place because they would mostly be unseen. The capsules have an unpleasant taste, no matter how quickly I take them. Even a second on the tongue, before washing the capsule down with liquid, leaves a bad aftertaste. I may go back to my previous brand of zinc that didn’t have that issue.... Show more

Zinc + Copper
I take zinc+copper largely for the immune system boosting benefits of zinc. Knowing that zinc supplementation can reduce copper levels, getting the two in a combined supplement is a really convenient element. I've been taking this for almost two years now and have been nothing but pleased with it.... Show more

Zinc's role in health
I can’t comfortably assign the product stars as I’ve just started taking this, prophylactically. I’ve not yet taken the deeper dive into the Spectracell nutrient analysis that I do have sitting here. I’m debating on whether I need to have that "nutrient moment in time" for the price. Based on my acquired knowledge it seems like it should be a 5 star but I'm giving it 4 since dosage recommendations for my age group are questionable.I’m supplementing because1. I’m 62 retired from teaching2. my dad sadly passed of Alzheimer’s at 723. my mom of T2D this past Sept at 884.. having SNPs associated with both of these killers5. my belief as an FDN practitioner in Diet, Rest, Exercise Stress reduction and SupplementationI’m taking this plunge because I’ve read that:1. ... Zinc also regulates the movement of copper into the brain. There are several human studies out there that support the role of zinc in mental cognition - remembering stuff! I need that!2. it works in protein synthesis, helps regulate perfectly shaped proteins in my brain that help to avoid the creation of amyloid plaques(clumps of protein that block nerve impulses from traveling through my brain). https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3829442/3. It supports immune function- in fact, I just thwarted a cold that everyone around me had. Because zinc declines with age, this study points out that older people need zinc to support immune system function. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/268175024. Because it may be the brain’s most abundant trace metal, it’s reported by Lee Euler to act as an antioxidant in neurons and supports mitochondrial function & neuron to neuron communication in the hippocampus - first place my dad’s Alzheimer’s developed. Since I still love to learn and remember, I’m taking this supplement.... Show more
