Bumbo Floor Seat - Taupe

My little one would not sit up and I was beginning to get nervous. I didn’t know how to help my baby. A friend by chance suggested I get this seat since it helps babies train their bodies to get core strength and be able to sit up. I was a little hesitant because of the price and I didn’t think it would actually help but decided to try it anyway. It was such a game changer! My baby loved this seat, it was comfortable and versatile. My baby played in this seat, ate in it and watched cartoons. After a couple of weeks my baby was able to sit up on his own! I definitely recommend this product!

Love how easy this chair is to use and take with us anywhere we go. Most definitely have must have when traveling. It’s so easy to clean. I will say the only complaint I have is it’s made for tiny babies. I tried it on my girls when they were little but they were chunky monkeys every time we did put them in it, two people had to get them out. My son was smaller and it works perfectly for him.

We knew this was a must have for our second child as we LOVED it with our first. It is super portable and a great first chair for early sitters. There is an optional tray that you can purchase separately, which makes this the perfect travel high chair. It’s easy to clean and doesn’t harbor smells. A win win in my book!

Soft foam that conforms to your baby’s legs and help them sit up straight. Works for my baby since he cannot sit up by himself without assistance. It also helps him practice straightening his muscle. So far, it has not tipped. There’s even a safety seat belt strap but we don’t really use it. Only thing I don’t like is the position can’t be adjusted. He can only sit up in one position; hence, he keeps drooling and have to wear a bib whenever he’s in it.

i can't profess my love for Bumbos enough. First, let me say that we have an old model without the seatbelt. I think the seatbelt is stupid. If your kid is big/strong/old enough to flip out of a Bumbo, chances are the whole seat will tip and the belt won't do any good. Plus, I imagine it makes the seat harder to clean. The seamless design of the Bumbo makes it so easy to wipe down if baby spits up or has a blowout (or if you're like me and slack on buying a real high chair and feed baby in the Bumbo), adding nooks and crannies is just gonna gum up the works.Secondly, I still get comments all the time from sanctimonious parents telling me they would never put their baby in something as dangerous as a Bumbo. It's not dangerous if you're not a dummy. Look, I broke all the rules. I used in on raised surfaces. I used it in the tub/shower so I could bathe my two under two together and make life easier. I did not ever leave them unattended in these scenarios. My middle son was also freakishly strong from birth and hit his motor milestones early and learned to arch his back and flip out of the seat around five months old, so I quit using it on raised surfaces. It was kind of a neat party trick after that to watch him roll himself out onto a blanket on the floor.I'm also not a fan of the "baby bucket" carseat and have used convertible, but it meant having to get creative a lot of the time, like when we went to restaurants. Before they could sit up in the wooden restaurant high chair, we would just bring the Bumbo and sit it in the booth with us (or, admittedly, on the table if there was enough space). We've used the Bumbo virtually anywhere and everywhere, within reason. I know a lot of people would choose to wear their babies in that situation but I always feel awkward trying to eat over my baby's head.Anyway, Bumbo: good.

Keep in mind the seat says it’s for 3-12 month babies. Sit them down when they’re getting ready to sit down on their own. Also everyone must know to not keep them in there the whole day. Safety first and babies are very fragile. This seat is really good for babies learning to sit. My 3 month old is already showing signs. The seat is at an ok price but it lasts a long time. I used it for my son and now for my new baby. It doesn’t budge from the floor.

3 month old wouldnt fit.

I owned a dumbo 16 years ago. I loved it. Was soft and moldable around my chunky babies leg. What I purchased recently was nothing compared to what Dumbo once was. I had to return mine. I couldn’t get my 3 month olds leg in for the life of me. Once I finally got it somewhat in, he was stuck and screaming his head off. It has surely changed to a much stiffer material.

Big helper with babies wanting to be independent

I wanted one of these with my son but never ended up grabbing one. Fast forward to my daughter.. she is now 3 months and sometimes just does not allow you to put her down. I realized that she just wants to be able to be upright and see what’s going on. I set this c mo hair everywhere and she lovessssss it. If you’re on the fence, just get it.. you won’t feel like you wasted your money.

Not worth it!

My least favorite seat. The buckles are so hard to use because they fall into the seat as you put the baby in and it’s impossible to reach under the baby to get them back out. You don’t really need the buckles anyway, but then baby is sitting on them. Seems like it’d be uncomfortable. Also, and most importantly, neither of my boys could comfortably use the seat anyway because their thighs were too chunky. They were both somewhat chubby babies, but not majorly so. I probably used the seat two times with both of them. Buy something else! Infantino activity seat and sit-me-up seats are great!

my 3 month old doesn’t fit ??

My baby brother had one of these that he LOVED at 3-4 months, so naturally I get one for my baby hoping we would have the same experience. He looks so uncomfortable in this seat. Not only is he too tall for the “back and neck support”, but the leg holes are too small! He is 13 lbs and 21 inches. It honestly depends on your baby! My baby brother was a smaller baby and it was perfect for him, but if you do not have a small baby, I do not recommend this product. I am very disappointed that it’s so small when it is marketed towards babies that are in his age range. Also, I don’t understand the point of the buckles. They don’t offer any extra support than the seat does, and they honestly get in the way, especially the buckle in between the legs.
