I have used Burts vanilla lip balm for years, I use it daily, so I bought this 4 pack of sticks whilst on offer as I quite like the pear & coconut one and I thought the strawberry would make a nice change. Sadly these were a disaster! The strawberry one did not resemble anything strawberry flavoured, it tasted of liquorice, the pear & coconut had an element of liquorice about it too which was most odd, and my favourite vanilla one smells and tastes like peppermint. So I have no clue what has gone wrong here? Im thinking that the strawberry flavour (or should I say liquorice flavour) has permeated the others in the box? I’ve exclusively used Burt’s bees for years, my favorite has ALWAYS been coconut & pear, the store didn’t have any that wasn’t in a 2/4 pack. So I tried to branch out and got a pack that contained mango, pink grapefruit and pomegranate along with the coconut pear. I was most excited to try the pomegranate as that’s my favorite fruit. I was expecting something fruity/juicy smelling, something like pomegranate, but it smelled and tasted very much like spices, very like nature-y but not fruity at all like expected. Burts bees is my favorite, no other brand has met their standard, but I’m not sure if there has been issues with the batches that went into the multi packs? Or if it’s supposed to taste and smell like that. If your lips are chapped and damaged, repairing ingredients such as honey will help speed the recovery and keep them for worsening.
