Burt's Bees Lip Balm Ultra Conditioning 4.25g

The Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm with vitamin E and peppermint is the best lip balm around. Whilst you might find that it doesn't last very long and that it's more expensive than other lip balms, this one really is the best lip balm to go for. I have sensitive skin and lips and suffered from eczema. My lips are always dry and I was looking for a not so sticky lip balm (a sticky one would be vaseline) which was effective and didn't make me itch. This lip balm did all that. This lip balm contains a great combination of ingredients which work to sooth, heal and moisturise your lips. The cera alba (beeswax) in this balm is used to create a protective layer on your lips to protect it from environmental effects. This ingredient will also lock any moisture in the keep your lips moisturised. The vitamin E will reduce any UV damage which is on your lips and continue to nourish your lips further. The peppermint will sooth and cool the skin, reducing irritation, itching and increasing softness. If you were to badly react to this lip balm it may due to one or two of the ingredients. These are the lanolin and/or the limonene. Lanolin is known to at times irritate sensitive skin and causing allergic reactions and the limonene's antioxidant ingredients can oxidised and sensitize your skin. Overall I really recommend this lip balm!

(I will lean more towards something medicated). However, if you use this regularly, you will stay smooth, hydrated and crack free. We love Burt's Bees for the natural and safe ingredients, great peppermint sensation and scent, and it's amazing hydrating elements.

I get very dry, flaky lips recently this was the only balm that has soothed, smoothed and moisturized my lips. I have tried Carmex, Blistex, La Roche Posay Cicaplast Aquaphor - this was the best out of all of them. I will continue to use this and will definitely purchase this again in the future. This is hands down one of the best lip balms that I have ever tried. I am very particular when it comes to my lip products and I am someone who constantly uses lip balms because I can not stand when my lips are dry. I would highly recommend this product to everyone. My son is obsessed with making sure his lips aren’t dry. After purchasing multiple other brands, this one was the winner. He likes that there isn’t an overpowering smell or flavor and that it doesn’t make his lips look shiny. Even though it’s more expensive, it’s worth it in my opinion.

So you can reapply this Bee Balm when you need it. It works for me! That waxy stick is a petrochemical. I bought this because I constantly get split lip on my lower lip, every year, whether, it is too hot or too cold. I'm no longer frantic about keeping this in my pocket, it moisturizes exceptionally well, and even though I ALWAYS have some nearby, it works so well I don't NEED it on hand.Can't rate this product highly enough. But in this case, bees wax SHOULD be natural, and it is. Buy this. All of this. And you'll never be found wanting again. I promise.This Lip Balm came to my rescue a few years back when my lips were sore and cracked - I'd lost my usual and then favorite, so this was a purchase on a whim and I've never looked back. The Lip Balm itself is in the standard tube (twisting the bottom reveals the product). No sticking dirty fingers into pots... and we all know as soon as you get a lip balm out, everyone you're with suddenly realises they have dry lips! I often have this in my pocket, my handbag - even one that stays in my car so I can top up when the Heating/ Air Con is on. Depending on the season there is always a place for Burt and his Bee's. During the colder months my lips typically suffer but this product has put an end to that. The Vitamin E helps to soothe lips as the Beeswax conditions and protects against the elements. Whilst it repairs my dry and damaged smile I'm left with beautiful, hydrated and dare I say kissable lips! Everyday this finds it's way into my hands. Using this as a primer for Lipstick should be the law. Your lips will be smooth and moisturised - meaning a flawless application of your chosen colour and an increase in the staying power of your Lipstick/ Gloss. This balm also boasts added Peppermint Oil to refresh your lips but also add a little fullness - and we're all after a nice pout.At the mention of Peppermint Oil, there is no nasty taste to this! Hallelujah! Whilst I love fruity/ citrus flavored balms, eating and drinking can be a bit irritating when everything tastes a bit like raspberry smoothie. You will experience a slight tingling when you apply this, but it isn't uncomfortable.It isn't sticky like a Vaseline so rather than a 'glossy look' your lips are just left looking hydrated and healthy. Perfect for a 'no make-up' make-up look... And long haired beauties rejoice - You won't find your hair getting stuck to your lips!Please be aware you will also find the men in your life reaching for this! I purchased one for my BBF (Boy Best Friend) and my Brother so they would stop using mine - they are converts too, as well as all of my girlfriends who got this in their Christmas Stocking!My love for this Lip Balm has no end, and I will continue to sing it's praises. To add further to my appreciation of this product - it's 100% natural and not tested on animals... Now that has to feel good.

2nd Burt bees product. it helps dry/cracked lips but remains inadequate

It moisturizes the lips better than the regular Burt bees lip balm. However, it’s also somehow thinner and “wetter”. In general, after 2 Burt bee lip balm purchases, I won’t repurchase because they dry up too quickly. I put on my lips, drink some water and it’s gone. I bought a lip balm from another beeswax brand that cost less than half the price of Burt bees lip balm that cured my cracked lips in less than 2 days and actually stays thru the night when I apply them. Burt bees have never successfully cured my cracked lips, only made it less dry despite almost a week of usage. Switched back to my old lip balm and my lips significantly improve in an hour.

Dries out lips

I bought this product a week ago and it doesn't work as it's supposed to be. I've used burt bees products earlier but they work well.However, this specific product doesn't keep upto even it's claims. It dries the chapped areas of lips even after applying 4-5 times a day.I've used natural kokum from India and it's a good product however not working with this product. The lips just feel wet upto the point you apply it. After 30-40 minutes the chapped feeling vanishes and when I open my mouth the edges of the mouth feels like they're cracking.

Not a fan

Let me preface this by saying I am a huge Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm (original plain version) fan. It is the only lip balm I use and I have been using it for years. That being said, I really do not like the Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm with Kokum Butter. I find it sits on the surface rather than soaking in and it is not pleasant to use. I do not find this lip balm to be moisturizing at all. It came in a variety pack so I thought I would go ahead and give it a try, however I will not be re-purchasing. I will be sticking with my all time favourite, the original Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm.

Not a great formula

I'm a little dissapointed with this lip balm. The formula for this product is not similar to the original Burt's Bees lip balm, nor is it more conditioning. It's very lightweight, but that's not a good quality for an ultra conditioning lip balm. It's also more of an oily formula, which tends to dry your lips a lot.
