Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter

I started using this when I was pregnant as a clean choice. Mainly on my stomach. Then used it after the baby was born so that he only touched clean scent less lotions on my skin. Now I’m addicted. I’m not pregnant but will continue to use this on my skin. It soaks in so well. It’s thick and helps my dry winter skin. There’s no scent so I can pile on my favorite body sprays after without being overpowered. Does it help with stretch marks-no I don’t think so. But it does relieve my very dry skin.

Like most of the reviews I read before buying, they do seem to have a huge chunk/air bubble of product missing. This picture was taken upon first opening the jar before any usage. However, I started using it on March 5th at 4 months pregnant and apply 2 times a day, in the morning and before bed, especially right out of the shower. I am currently 5 months pregnant and haven’t gotten any stretch marks on my belly or hips. I do have a noticeable amount of stretch marks on my boobs though. But that could be because I had already grown 2 bra sizes in my first trimester before I started using this. I’m hoping it will prevent anything further minimize what’s already there. The smell is somewhat unpleasant but it is an unscented product so that’s understandable. It does leave my hands feeling oily after I apply but once the product absorbs/drys my skin feels soft. I only use this on my boobs, belly hips/upper thighs in hopes of preventing stretch marks. Can feel the moisture on my skin for hours after using. It almost feels like the product is sitting on top of my skin rather than absorbing tbh but I’m not sure. When I take a shower I can feel the product coming off my skin like a slimy feeling.. so this does make me skeptical if it’s actually absorbing into my skin or maybe I apply too much/don’t rub it in good enough? I’ve been trying to take a few minutes to rub it in and don’t use a lot tbh bc a little goes a long way but this always happens when I get in the shower at the end of the day.. (I’ve been using Nivea Soft for my face, arms legs and it works wonders for leaving my skin super soft and moisturized, I love it! 10/10.) As for the burts bees mama belly butter I chose this product because of the cocoa, Shea vitamin E ingredients its lack of parabens etc. It also had some great reviews but I can’t say that I’m in love yet but I will keep using to see if it actually helps later in the pregnancy once my bump gets bigger. If it does prevent stretch marks from coming then I will recommend and would be 100% worth it despite the few flaws I’ve found in it so far. For now I’d rate it a 7-8/10. I hope this helps!

I tried many belly butters, oils, and creams during my pregnancies and this was by far my favorite! The Burts Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter goes on thick and rubs in nicely, absorbing fairly quickly and not too oily or sticky like others. I mostly used on my belly and hips, and always felt the area was very moisturized. In the latter half of my pregnancies, I did use multiple times a day as my skin stretched more and needed extra moisture to stay comfortable. I'm very happy with this belly butter and would definitely use again and recommend to others! For what it's worth, I had only 1 very small stretch mark over the course of multiple pregnancies using this belly butter.

This is a thick, creamy lotion. It reminds me of a Cetaphil cream I have tried before in consistency. It smooths into my skin very well and doesn't leave a greasy feeling behind. It doesn't really have much of a scent and it doesn't really take a lot to feel like it covers the area. I have been using it for about 2 months now (currently 31 weeks pregnant) and I don't have stretch marks, except the places that got stretched before I started using the cream. I have been using it on those places as well and I don't see any new marks showing up.

Got mine today

Buy with the oil. I don't like the smell of the butter(prefer the oil citrus smell). It's my 1st pregnancy & at 22nd week. This week I'm gonna try put it at one of my backhand&we'll see how it goes if I'm allergic or not. 2 part(with&without oil) I hate that the oil smell disappear after putting the butter. 1st 10minutes i don't like the sticky lotion feel but overtime it absorb to the skin & after a while the skin feels..healthier than my other hand(I've a normal skin but i can feel the difference). I've no stretch mark at the moment other than my already exist stretch mark at hips. Buying it from Shopee(asian platform), pricey than other brand exist here&hopefully it's original. Great moisturiser and very well priced!

I have been using this every morning since being about 12 weeks pregnant, teamed with another branded serum which I apply at night before bed. I’m now 36 weeks pregnant. I can’t say how effective this product is on its own as I have been using it alongside another product. However, the moisturiser itself is lovely to apply, none sticky, quick drying and great for sensitive skin. Alls I can say is apart from 1 or 2 very minor stretch marks on my hips, I have not suffered. I have gained 4 and a half stone with this pregnancy (my third baby) and I am definitely the biggest I’ve ever been in my life, so was concerned over how bad my stretch marks would get. My advice is start applying lotions early in your pregnancy and maintain a routine throughout. It was great to rub my stomach with it and bond with the idea that someone was going to grow in there. it doesn't leave the skin greasy and gets assimilated very fast. Would reccommend

I really like this lotion! During my first pregnancy, I used it religiously in the beginning and had zero stretch marks. When I slacked on using it half way through, a few did show up (but they were the size of a dime if that). Of course, stretch marks also have to do with genetics so honestly sometimes if you’re gonna get them, you’re gonna get them. But I do feel as though the lotion did help a lot and at the very least it helped my belly not become itchy while growing my little baby! Also it dried fast and it didn’t really have a smell to it.
