Burt's Bees Overnight Intensive Lip Treatment

I’m in love with this stuff. I got this as a gift and had it sitting for weeks before I tried it and omg it is an exact dupe for the Kissu Lip Mask. The color/ flavor is obviously not, but the formula is exactly the same. Goes on very lightweight but nourishing, stays where you place it and doesn’t melt and run over onto your face. Super silky and not oily or sticky. I will never pay for the Kissu mask again as long as this stuff if around. It is amazing! I will buy this forever and recommend it to everyone!

I found this product because I got a recommendation from a friend who told me she uses this consistently during the day to keep her lips hydrated. I prefer to use this as a maintenance product instead of a go to for immediate repair. I found blistex med for my lips when they started to get really bad from cold weather and heat in the house. Then, once they got better, I use this during the day as it doesn’t put a bad taste in my mouth keeps them hydrated while being light weight. Then, at night I sleep with a thick layer of blistex on them. my lips are back in good condition they have been ever since!!!!!

This lip mask treatment surely surprised me with how well it's been working and the price is great for the quality. I couldn't get myself to pay $20 for a lip mask, as I'm aware on how popular Laneige's lip masks are. But, I'm also aware that there are cheaper yet just as effective alternatives. Burt Bee's is a respected brand that delivers consistency, so I've figured I would try this for long lasting moisture and it worked. It has a medicated yet slightly honey scent, but feels very moisturizing on the lips and stays soothing for hours. I highly reccomend this product if you need something stronger than a lip oil!

So I have to say that I am a huge fan of Burts Bees Products that I'm never disappointed. However, when it came to this intensive, overnight lip mask, I really did have much higher expectations. It really was just alright did not do nearly the amount or treatment to my lips that I eould expect from a Burts Bees product. It wasn't completely terrible, but I just expected a lot more results after a few nights of use. My lips were still very dry in need of treatment after many nights of treatment. Maybe my expectations were too high? Or maybe my lips were just that bad off?

Best “drugstore” lip option

I'm very picky about not having dry lips and I am even more picky about lip balm. I hate chapsticks that's just put Vaseline over your lips but do nothing to actually moisture underneath. There is 1 maybe 2 options I would pick over this, but you have to get them at the high end makeup store and they cost about $30. this is the best alternative. extra points for the fact that I leave this in my car year round, through blistering hot summers and freezing temps and this has never become a mess and only had a slight change in the texture. still very much useable. I would not do that to the $30 lip treatments.

Great for bedtime!

So I normally use one of the regular Burt's Bees lip balms, and upgrade to the slightly thicker peppermint and vitamin E for winter here as it gets very cold and dry where i live. This year I tried the lip scrub and overnight repair balm combo to take my lip care game up a notch. While the honey scrub is half scrub half moisture/conditioner (I prefer the rooted beauty lip scrub, which doesn't smell as yummy, but has more scrubbing bits to it) I always follow my lip scrub (2-3 times a week for slightly dry/chapped lips) with this overnight lip treatment and I love it. My lips have been soft and smooth, and I can't recall nibbling on any dry flaky patches this winter as I normally do. I never even upgraded to the Peppermint and E balm! Healed my persistently chapped lips!

I’ve tried all sorts of lip balms, vaseline, glycerin solution, and other home remedies over the past months. While some of these slightly relieved the symptoms, none resolved the problem. That’s when I decided to try something more of an “advanced technology” than an “all natural product”, namely this lip treatment balm from burt’s bee. And it worked like magic! It somehow repaired my lips overnight, and after a couple days of use, my lips felt alright even after I forgot to reapply lip balms for several hours! (For comparison, previously, my temporarily healed lips would chap again if I didn’t wear lip balms for 10 minutes.)

Not good if you have sensitivities to mint

I love the feel and it does moisturize. However if you have sensitivity to peppermint or menthol I wouldn't recommend. I'm learning that my lips don't do well with excessive use of mint products. Also would recommend getting a lip scrub and exfoliating once in a while so it can actually penetrate. Regardless though I like the feel and I only use a little, which is all you really need, so the pot lasts me for a bit. And I bought a skincare spatula for it. Makes it feel more luxurious that way 🤣 and more hygienic but I like that I can get all of the product unlike in tubes. I've gone through this pot twice already.But again, the menthol does cause an allergic reaction or contact dermatitis in some people which causes it to do the opposite of what the mint usually ... MoreI love the feel and it does moisturize. Mint is supposed to be good for healing chapped lips. BUT for some people it just doesn't. And unfortunately over time I've developed a sensitivity to it on my lips. So sad bc I truly loved it.

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten any reviews so far. This is a real gem of a lip product. It's listed as an overnight mask but I use it as my daily lip Balm. The formula is smooth, a little waxy, not too thick and it settles well on the lips, no sticky feel. It keeps my dry lips hydrated for hours on end. One application in the morning keeps my lips feeling moisturised for 12 hrs at least. No specific taste or fragrance. Just hydrating goodness!

Works for more than just lips
