In the short and simple answer... the boots are fantastic and I highly recommend them to anyone of any skill level.On the longer answer the boots so far have been flawless I paired them with a brand new board at the same time and I was confident with both by the end of the first day. The boots were a little scary when I first clicked in because they really didn’t feel like I was wearing bindings, but after a couple runs you get use the feeling and the performance is the same if not better then actual bindings. I love these new boots and bidings and I truely don’t see myself ever buying straps ever again if possible. I recommend these boots to anyone and everyone that asks me in the lift or resort burton made a absolutely amazing product and I love it

They started off very comfortable but after breaking in they developed a hard spot that pushed on my ankle bone. Cuts my day short now because of the pain. My left boot also engages completely different than my right boot. The heel will click when switching from heel to toe and upon further inspection I noticed that the boots have two complete different heel cleats. Using a straight edge there is a 3-4mm difference of where they sit on the boot and how they engage with the binding. I can’t believe this would pass QC. Very disappointed in these $400 boots..

I've been snowboarding since 1986 and all my softboots were the standard lace system. I'm a snowboard instructor at Aspen, Antwerp, Belgium. It's an indoor slope with real snow. When I teach beginners,90% of the time I am not on my board, walking and running around, helping people get up, etc. So I nedded a boot that is not to stiff. I never was a fan of speedlace , Boa, ..I love the simplicity of a laced boots, but the speed of getting in the boot and tightning it with Boa seduced me. I do recommend the double Boa, as they allow for a tighter lower foor, looser top, which makes walking that much easier. With a single Boa, it's all or nothing. I never really tried them, but to me that doesn't seem like a good option. The flex is on the stiffer side (I only used the ... Had the swath speed laces (2018s?) so went with these when I moved into the step on universe.Fit feels the same as the speed lace swaths - true to size - one complaint - I'm tightening up the boas every 3.5 runs ( feel the boots loosen up typically during the third run)
These seem to fit true to size and they snapped in perfectly with my step-on bindings. The double boa makes them feel very secure, with the bottom boa somewhat giving you the downward feel of a regular binding. Time will tell how well they hold up, but they're perfect for now!
This was my first purchase from sun & ski and it went great. I'm looking forward to trying out these step on boots. Although they did not have my size in store shipping from another store was quick and easy with the help of the employees. I like the look of these boots however was disappointed they didn't have available the other color options I had seen online from other retailers.
Pleasantly surprised by the pattern and design of the boots once they arrived! After 3 days on the mountain they have started to break in and are very comfortable. This is my first pair of boots with BOA and never will go back as the BOA makes it super easy to get in and out of your boots.
Bought these as a replacement/upgrade to my 2015 Burton Imperial boot (sz 10.5) and Cartel EST bindings. Love to convenience of the step on! Very high quality, nice boot. Runs small however in the Burton Swath. Consider a 1/2 to 1 full size up. The size 11 fit me perfect. Giving this a 4 star simply because Burton, arguably the best snowboarding company should do a better job of making this boot true to size. Due to this, I had to exchange my newly purchased size Medium step on binding to a size Large. Size Medium binding accommodates up to a size 10.5 step on boot. Size 11+ moves to Large step on binding. Little inconvenient when ordering online and late in the season when supply isn't as plentiful.
