Burt's Bees Moisturizing Lip Balm - Pomegranate

In DC, winters get cold and dry, and I often find myself in need of a good lip balm. I picked up a small 0.15oz tube of this from my local Target for just under $3.79, which is a pretty solid price! This has a nice darker pink tint, which you can build up with multiple coats. I've found that since it is tinted, there's a bit less of a moisturizing effect than with their other products (though still much more so than a lipstick). Overall, I think that this is a great product with an even better value: the little tube has lasted me over 6 months now! Sometimes, these products are classics for a reason, though I might layer on top of their regular lip balm for more moisturization in cold winter months

Changed in a negative direction!

First I would like to say that I have been a loyal Burts Bees Pomegranate lip balm user for many years. There were tubes all around the house and i always had them in pockets everywhere. A few months ago I purchased a bigger pack and right away I noticed there was a grainy texture and clumpiness to the spread of the balm. The smell did not seem the same and I thought maybe it was an old tube? So I opened another new one and it was the same thing. It makes me sad because I bought these for everyone all then time as stocking stuffers and little gifts for college ect. I just can't get any relief on my lips with this new formula and it really is unpleasant to use. Dangerous product - do not use

I had a number of serious reactions to this lip balm that sent me to the emergency department, GP & dermatologist. All the reviews here describing crumbly lips and pimples caused by using this lip balm are describing periorificial dermatitis caused by the product. I was in hospital with periorificial dermatitis and urticaria that made my eye shut. I believe that a chemical additive (possibly the fragrance) is to blame. I was housebound and suffered from depression and anxiety as a result. I have contacted Clorox by no reply as yet. I have also reported this product to Consumer Affairs Victoria. Use at your own risk.

Disbelief! What happened to this awesome lipbalm

Why have you changed what was a perfect product? For more than fifteen years Burt's BeesPomegranate has been my one and only product for lips - always in my pocket, purse and in multiple rooms through out the house. It was a traditional stocking stuffer and was also the preferred "go to" for daughter and granddaughter. Why would you mess with a perfect product? So disappointed. The last four pack left me with concern that I might have a counterfeit product. After opening the first tube in a new four pack and after reading current reviews, I realize that I most certainly have the real deal. It is just not what I have loved and used for so many years.

Lightly tinted lip balm

I have been using the Burts Bees pomegranate lip balm for many years now and it's one of my favourites. Burts Bees has such a great range of lip products and you can never go wrong with their lip balms. It is nicely scented and the colour of the lip balm in the tube is pink. It is also slightly tinted which I really like because it's like your lips but better with the pink hue. It's very subtle which makes it suitable for everyday. It also adds a nice sheen to your lips whilst keeping it hydrated and soft. Small and portable, it's easy to keep in your handbag and perfect when travelling. I have purchased this many times and will continue to do so.

NEW FORMULA IS AWFUL!!

I had been using this pomegranate lip balm for YEARS. It worked so well for me I always had a tube everywhere, nothing else could compare. I was completely disappointed to find that the formula has changed for the worse. The texture feels so weird and the scent is terrible. I honestly thought I got a bad batch so I bought another and it was as equally awful. Then I compared the label to an "older" one I had and saw the ingredients have changed. So now I have to find a new favorite and so far it hasn't been anything else burts bees either because it seems other formulas have changed too. Super disappointing!!

Original Peppermint One Is Way Better

I’m disappointed because I absolutely love the original Burt’s Bees chapstick. The pomegranate one smells really bad, like cheap artificially flavored kids makeup. The texture felt weird.But the original peppermint one is my absolute favorite chapstick ever! It feels amazing. It smells nice and the quality is soooo good. It doesn’t burn like Carmex does; it feels fresh and moisturizing. And it doesn’t feel uncomfortably thick on the lips. Next time I’m definitely going to buy the original again. As for the pomegranate one, NEVER again.

Smells so yummy

I've recently tried this Pomegranate lip balm from Burt's Bee's and love it. Burt's Bee's make the best lips balms in my opinion. I've tried so many different brands and keep coming back to Burt's. Nothing compares. This one smells great!They're so hydrating and long lasting. I love how smooth they instantly make my lips feel.This one leaves my lips with a slight pinky tint that makes my lips look so good. It also makes my lips look shiny and healthy.I love that I can pick up certain flavours from Woolworths and you can also get a range of flavours from Big W that I don't see anywhere else like Chemist Warehouse.

The formula has sadly changed

Just like the others recent reviewers. Burts Bees, now owned by Clorox, has changed this much loved lip balm as well as the plastic container. It does not have the same texture, feel, taste/smell. It used to be a light fruity smell, seemed natural; now has a chemical smell. Even the cap is thinner and more flimsy. Yikes. Sad when corporate America cuts costs by changing to inferior ingredients. Why buy Burts Bees if you do not want to keep the products and their formulas? How are you planning on keeping Burts Bees customers? Also, please do not advise me to call customer service because I did and you did send me a $5.00 coupon but what is the point as I do not want to buy any more Burts Bees products.

make this in a TIN please!!!

this is hands down my favorite lip balm. it's the most moisturizing, and has better staying power than other balms. the scent is almost nonexistent, which is a good thing (I really dislike fragrances in cosmetics). plus I really love the subtle pink color. it's just about perfect, no other products come even close to this one.Burts: PLEASE make a version of this in a tin! more and more people are trying to reduce their plastic use. discontinuing the tins is a step in the wrong direction.
