Im my opinion, the scent is fine. Texture a bit sticky but lighter and better than creams. I like its coverage compared to the other products in the market but haven’t tested much as the weather has gone cold this summer, and therefore, less mosquitoes.With the spray, I had to apply heaps for better coverage but even though scent is mild, I get allergic and kept sneezing so I prefer the gel.I can’t wait to put it to the test when the weather becomes hot.

I learned about this super repellent while living in the Cook Islands, So. Pacific. The product is 80% Deet -- and is not sold in continental USA because our regs won't allow that high a Deet content. If you react badly to Deet don't buy this product. If you don't have problems with strong Deet content, this gel is the most inoffensive (not much odor and not too greasy) and most effective mosquito/deer fly repellent you can buy. The down side is the cost of shipping from Australia. However, I live in a swamp environment in Florida's western panhandle, and the mosquitoes and biting flies are a real threat. A quarter-sized dab on one palm, rubbed together with both hands and then applied over all exposed skin will do the job for at least 8 hours. You can bank on it.

Does the job well. Only downside is it's odour. But great product otherwise.
Great product, just be careful around soft plastics like fitbit bands, it can make them sticky

I used this in Broome where I am usually decimated by sandflies. Not a single bite this time.
Sticky but mosquitos don't stand a chance at bypassing it. I was surrounded by mosquitos for a week and only got a single bite where it was not applied.
I took this with me on a cruise to New Caledonia and I'm so glad I did because it worked fantastically well. At 80% deet, it was the highest insect protection I could find and there was the added protection of sunscreen as well. My first day on the beach I felt the sand flies biting as soon my feet hit the sand, but as soon as I put this on, it stopped them dead in their tracks. I passed it around to others in my group and those who used it were bite free. Those who didn't use it got bit and sunburned. So effective and very long lasting, I'm extremely impressed with this product and will be repurchasing as well as recommending it to others planning outdoor activities or especially a tropical holiday when you want to bring back great memories, not insect borne viruses.
