They are good compact binoculars. They work the best of course in good lighting. You can see good detail with them. the 12x magnification makes your shaking noticeable, but not so bad that you can't use them. They are perfect for carrying in a pocket which is why I bought them. They are easy to focus and a joy to have.

Comparing their size and price with other models, they have the most range:magnification. The strap is made for "lightweight" use... more of a thin chord then a strap. Since the binoculars are small, the chord touches your face when you use them, (not very comfortable), but it can be removed easily with a mini-screwdriver, and used without it, which is what I do. Great for glove comparment, youngens, your daypack/utility jacket and ideal for concerts and other events too.

While a higher "x" factor could be tempting to many amateurs, I believe 12x is the upper sealing and beyond this is only to aide marketing than something to practically be handheld. While bigger objective aperture(~50) give you an advantage on brightness, clarity and a larger exit pupil, you can't really afford to ocarry that extra ounce when you already have a long list of camping equipment to carry up on your shoulders. I was looking for something handy, light weight yet powerful, so based upon my own past experiences, I narrowed down to Bushnell Powerview roof prism 12x25. Both the barrels join 1-to-1. - Light weight, yet solid feel. - 12x magnification is perhaps the max for anything handheld. - Focus it well and you will see clear crisp details. - Comes with a diaopter adjust for someone who wears spects. - Far range (I tried upto 20-25 KMs(~15 Miles)) and could see some good details. Also tried viewing moon to have an idea about farthest focusing and found it crisp. - Under low lighting (dawn/dusk), you can view through an acceptable level of clarity. - Features BK-7 roof prism but the exit pupil is perfectly circular. Clarity is just fine. Cons: - With 12x25 you get 2.1mm dia of exit pupil. Having said that, our eye's pupil starts with mere 2mm of dia so it is just the minimal window of view. - To get the best results with mere 2.1mm of exit pupil, one has to ensure optimal inter-eye bridge adjustment to get the perfect circular vision. But once its done and combines with fine focusing, I am sure you won't get disappointed. - There's a cheap thin undetachable string with these binocs. I wish Bushnell could offer a bare minimum acceptable neck strap. - The supplied pouch too is a cheap stuff without any strap or even an option to attach an aftermarket. - The diaopter adjust tends to rotate while to try focus using the centre rotary so requires a special attention. Additional info: - The pack includes: Binocs, pouch, instruction manual, a wiping cloth. - Lenses are fully coated and have a bluish tinge. I personally recommend using a lens pen to clean them rather than teh supplied wipe cloth. - A good quality BK-7 roof prism. - The package mentions that the binocs have a chemical that might be considered as carcenogenic(cancer causing) in the state of california but doesn't give any detail about it. - The package states "proud american company" but the stuff is "made in china".
I've had a pair of 8x21 Powerview Bushnell binoculars for years and often felt like I wanted just a little more magnification. These do the trick but still provide the same clear picture, handy carrying case, and lightweight advantage of the smaller pair. I did a comparison with other brands and Bushnell by far had the best picture and easiest adjusting. Thanks for a great product for those of us at the amateur/enthusiast level! I use them mostly on the trail for wildlife viewing, but on occasion at sports or theater events or for looking at the night sky.

Good Points: These binoculars are a great buy for the money spent. I bought them for my husband to replace his Nikon ones. After reading the reviews online I decided to try these and they are better than his previous ones in all aspects.Improvement Points: None
I thought what the hell $20 for a pair of binoculars is an amazing price. To good to be true? They arrived today and feel very sturdy and well made. The label on the box said proudly made in the US and was suspicious immediately. They were actually amazing! Very happy and writing a good review. They feel great and work well. For $20. No complaints here!
It is small compact and it comes with a small pouch to store it in. It is really well packaged! It looks and feels well built. I tried it outside and everything is so close up and clear! Make sure to adjust magnification to your liking and do it outside when you're adjusting it because indoors will make it look fuzzy, blurry and way to close (Be sure to adjust them outside!). They are good but if you don't have a steady hand the image will get a bit shaky. If your looking for a more steady image go from the 8 or 10 I heard they are good with a steady image. I bought these because I wanted something with a bit more power in them but overall I think they are great!
I think it is a very good binocular for the price. I take it hiking with my kids. It is small and light weight. It does the job well. The power is 12x25. It's good for hiking when I want to show my kids a animal also sporting games.I am happy with it. A great buy for $10.59.
