I was sent this serum as part of a trial and have to say it’s exceeded my expectations. Whilst I’m very familiar with By Terry’s make up, I’ve had less experience with their skin care so this has been a welcome revelation. The serum is light, quickly absorbed and leaves the skin feeling soft, plumped and not at all tacky. It’s left me with a hydrated glow, which is something I very much lack during the winter months. Application is quick and easy, so an easy thing to throw into a morning or evening routine. Whilst it isn’t a ‘holy grail’ product for me, it’s something I would definitely repurchase once my bottle is finished as i think it performs well and hasn’t caused my sensitive skin to break out. Probably best suited to drier skins rather than oily.

The serum itself is silky smooth and has a very subtle scent. Though the recommendation is to use 4 drops, I found the consistency really watery and so I only really need about two drops. That said, if I have been over generous, the serum absorbs into the skin within seconds and feels refreshing. It has the effect of making the skin feel smooth and bright and I can give my usual moisturiser a miss without my skin feeling dry. I would have given 5 stars except that the price is a little high and the pipette is not as quality as others I have used. I do agree with another reviewer’s comment about the fact that the bottle being semi transparent is a plus. Overall a really good product.

The serum is light, quickly absorbed and leaves the skin feeling soft, plumped and not at all tacky. It’s left me with a hydrated glow, which is something I very much lack during the winter months. I was given some samples of this to try from my local store. This is a very well formulates serum - it contains a combination of hyaluronic acids of different lengths that help to draw moisture into the skin and keep it there. I like to use this after cleansing in the morning - I then use Tatcha 'The Essence' or a facial spritz and apply a thin layer of this - half a pipette worth and add more if needed. I massage this in and leave for a few minutes. If needed I then apply a thin layer of moisturiser and wait before applying makeup. It is very hydrating and also has a plumping effect on the skin. I did not feel any residue on my dry skin. I will repurchase.

I received this as a sample and I must say, a little goes a very long way and straight after the very first use my skin felt completely smooth and new. Sadly for me this is where the positives ended. Upon subsequent uses, of following the instructions, my skin surface became worse than it has ever been. I have visible pores and oily skin, I manage it and it's ok. But after using this my pores opened so much that they became waaaay more visible than before and my skin texture was very visibly bumpy and like a load of little craters (it's normally smooth with flat, slightly visible pores). I continued using the serum for the next few days just to see if there would be a change, but I just ended up with spots too. Oh dear.
