The Byoma Cream Jelly Cleanser is a standout product in my skincare routine. Its gentle yet effective formula leaves my skin feeling refreshed and clean. I've noticed an improvement in my skin's texture and clarity since incorporating it into my routine. I do have to mention however that I do not use it every day. I use two pumps of this water gel consistency because a little bit goes a very long way! It's fragrance free formula emulsifys well as I rubbed the cleanser between my palms. Using my fingertips, rubbing gently in circular motions, I had no issues covering my face evenly with this product! It felt great as it melted right into my skin. I felt it penetrates the epidermis well for a thorough cleanse without stripping my skin dry. Afterwards my face felt fresh, clean, and hydrated! Even after patting my face dry I didn't have to run to put moisturizer on right away because my skin didn't get that tight feeling, like it does alter using other cleansers. Jelly, cleansers, and I have always been the best of Frenemies. I’m not sure what it is about jelly cleansers, but they always trick me into thinking it’s doing good for my skin and after a few days of using them BOOM I start to break out horribly. I’m not sure what it is about jelly cleansers I feel like I have almost narrowed it down and I’m pretty sure it’s the glycerin in them or the fact that they are all always very hydrating, and it just does not do well with my oily skin. I think that for my greasy oily skin this specific cleanser just did not do a good job at breaking down the oil and washing it all the way maybe?After about a week of using it, I did start to notice some breakouts in my cheek area a little bit of my pores getting clogged smaller little bumps around my face so I decided to continue using it for a few more days to see if it was really the cleanser that was doing that . The breakouts got worse so I decided to just stop using it and I gave it to my sister, her skin type is normal, so she doesn’t deal with any excess oil or excessive dryness in the skin nor does she have any acne issues. This cleanser worked out perfectly for her. It has now become one of her favorites. Actually, she is obsessed! So I think that this product although it’s great for someone with normal skin maybe someone with oily skin or acne prone skin might not get the same benefits as someone who is more dry, or more normal in their skin.I never like to discourage anyone from trying a new product but from my personal experience I just feel like jelly cleansers are too hydrating for oily skin or acne prone skin people so try at your own risk, but I don’t think this is a horrible product. I think it just was not the right product for me . Now if you have normal to dry skin or even combination skin go for it, my sister loved it. She says she can see a difference in her skin. A couple of gentle presses on the flat-top, smooth-action pump dispenses a petite amount of product, which is exactly enough to get the job done. The ingredient list is precarious? Preservatives such as phenoxyethanol can cause skin irritation but this ingredient is at the bottom of the list, so the percentage is likely quite low. Other ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, sodium chloride, sodium benzoate, and others make me scratch my head. The packaging is bright and artful, extremely sturdy, and well-made. The ink used to heat press within the plastic of this modern-shaped bottle seems unfortunate. Why not offer packaging with removable labels so this sturdy well designed vessel can be repurposed in one's home and can be filled with other things? Not to mention that 'colored' plastic, although visually appealing, most likely won't be recycled as it is difficult with established recycling protocols. I really love almost all Byoma products so it pains me to say this but I really didn't like this cleanser. It is advertised as a good daily cleanser option, that is hydrating and cleanses without leaving the skin stripped. I have dry-leaning combination skin, so I was really excited for this product. Unfortunately, I found that everytime I used this (I used it for about 3 weeks, every night) my skin felt extremely stripped and dry. I thought it might be the amount of product I was using so I tried using a bit less, but my skin still felt stripped, even in the areas of my face that tend to be a bit more oily. To be fair, my skin DEFINITELY felt very clean, albeit very stripped.
