I really love the Byredo perfumes and I received this as a gift for Christmas having tried a sample beforehand. This is a fruity perfume with initially a sweet (candy) smell to it, however once you’ve had it on for a bit, the sweetness dissipates and your re left with a lovely fruity slightly woody fragrance. As with most of the Byredo scents, it last well and smells very unique. Would recommend.

Dead *** not paying $200 for a perfume

I originally got a sample of Mixed Emotions, Byredo, and instantly liked it!! It was masculine and feminine and sweet! I looked it up and saw it was $200 a bottle, that is not in my price bracket lol you can’t catch me paying even $70 for a perfume so I looked for dupes and found this one. Comments seemed legit so I purchased it and let me tell you! If you’re on the struggle train like me this is for sure worth your money! The oil is a great dupe and it’s super long lasting. Also I basically only wear scents for myself and this one is good because it’s not super pungent so I’m not convinced other people can smell it like a perfume but has just enough smell to be with you all day.

Mixed Emotions - My favorite scent ever. Top note of matcha tea makes it smell like a combination of smoke and leather and tobacco, but in a sultry, velvety way. It's not like standing next to a fireplace or campfire, I assure you. To the person who wrote a low-star review saying they didn't know a person on the planet who would want to smell like it - well, I do. A lot.

Mixed emotions

At first spritz, I’m instantly overcome by a familiar smell that I rationalize as akin to crème de cassis.the fragrance is too heavy and medicinal for me, but as the scent dissipates and settles onto my skin, it begins to feel a lot fresher.Mixed Emotions isn’t one of those scents that’s universally liked: It’s confusing.You think it’s one thing and then it shifts and mutates into something totally different—and either you love that end result or hate. The scent is sweet, poppy, candy-like and currant synthetic right from the opening. Personally I find the fragrance quite nice, it reminds me of a lighter version of Bibliothèque..Very unexpected and name fits perfectly..

An amazing combination. I feel in it bright but you fruits, berries, especially brightly I feel sour passion fruit. I am happy to buy and use this fragrance in summer and winter. It's long lasting but recently someone else in our office got the same scent. And I discovered its main feature - it is sometimes felt many meters from you. Really unique fresh but sweet scent!

This is a really unique fresh but sweet scent! It smells comfortingly familiar yet unique at the same time. Both sweet and fresh - but more on the fresh side. It won't be a polarising scent and will appeal to most people. Its great but unfortunately the staying power could be better. It tends to wear off quicker than other perfumes I have.

Smoky unique scent

I already love one specific perfume from the brand, but I got this perfume in travel size from one of the goody bags and i fell in love immediately. Not the typical fragrance, at the beginning seems more masculine due to smoky and woody scent, but once your nose get used to, you start smelling the flowering notes that soften the main woody scent. Not for all tastes, but if you want to impress and capture people's attention, if only for curiosity, this is the scent for you.

First impressions I was definitely confused on whether I liked it or not! After about half an hour I was addicted to the smell. Its definitely a love or hate perfume! The fruity and leathery smell works really well together. I believe if you like black saffron by byredo you’ll probably like mixed emotions! It’s not an everyday kind of perfume and I wouldn’t put it at the top of my favourites lists but there’s something unique about the smell that keeps you wanting to smell more! If your looking for a comforting smell or something that’s just a change from the rest of your perfumes then its worth buying!

If you're looking for a very unique, different and interesting fragrance then this one might be the one. It is definately unisex, I'd say it's quite woodsy and almost spicy as it has black tea scent to it, which actually adds a bit og a smoky scent to it but not overpowering. The only thing is as much as i lovee the scent oof it, i dont think it is very wearable. Maybe in a candle or roomspray form I'd love it but not as a body fragrance.
