Bought this to go with my CalDigit TS3Plus so that I could connect my dual monitors. One is connected via a thunderbolt to HDMI and another using this adapter. This is the active adapter thats needed by this dock and works. Having some problems with my monitor flickering and blacking out sometimes and working with CalDigit to sort it out. Not clear what the problem is so giving this a 4 star for now.

I was having a lot of problems with the Call Digit 3 dock for Mac talking to the display port connected monitor (talking to my HDMI based console KVM) disconnecting and reconnecting randomly. Tried a few DP -> HDMI cables as well as a "no-name" adapter and while the cables/adapter on other setups worked fine I kept having disconnects. I read that the dock requires an "active" display port to HDMI adapter so I found one this one. Attached it and now everything works perfectly. Not 100% sure why I needed this, but it fixed my issue.

I'd never had luck with this having tried all ports (Windows 10 would not list an option for 1920x1200). The laptop+dock *was* able to drive a 4K monitor. I finally found the free Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) by ToastyX on-line and used that to add the new resolution. Once done, the Windows 10 > right-click desktop > Display Settings listed the 1920x1200 option for that external monitor. This cable allows me to take advantage of one more video port on the ThinkPad Ultra Dock. Screen image looks good and sharp. This was the magical adapter I needed to use with a 16" 2019 MBP > Caldigit T3 Plus > LG 32" Ultrafine 4k 60hz monitor setup. This adapter, connected via the Caldigit T3 Plus gave me the full set of features offered by the monitor. Seamless - connected, turned everything on and it just worked.
This works great with my 2021 MacBook Pro (M1 Max CPU), and the CalDigit TS3 Plus Dock. Previously I had problems with other adapters. They wouldn't wake up the monitor when the computer woke up. However, I did some research, and it turns out the CalDigit TS3 Plus Dock needs an "active" adapter. So, I tried the CalDigit DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 (DP to HDMI) Active Adapter, and it works great every time! I would highly recommend it.
