OK I love the call of duty franchise, but this game seems not to live up to the hype as other games. It's fun none the less. Alright the good things about this game is they brought the zombies back as in round style play, in tight quarters like zombies is suppose to be. The multiplayer is phenomenal! My wife loves it because of the zombies. They started off with one zombies map, then so far added two more including one old map that has been through all the call of duty games made by treyarch. The story of this one blew me away. I'm guessing because the engine they made this one with looks more real compared to the cold war one. But all in all get this game before they come out with the last one in modern warfare 2!

An Unbiased Take

I held off on getting this one because I’m tired of the rinse and repeat format; ESPECIALLY for WWII themed installments. However, I was actually pretty pleased with the return of reboot MW’s mechanics/engine! My only complaint is the large selection of sights for guns. There are so many that are just clones offering the same stats with only them having cosmetic differences.The Zombies modes are okay at best. The devs were really trying to reinvent the wheel by introducing a new mode that has a semi-open world concept, but is objective-based at heart. I’m not a huge fan of the modes only bc the completion of various objectives rely on players voting to do them. Another Mediocre CoD

Despite not often enjoying FPS games set during WW2, I kept an open mind going in to CoD Vanguard. I wasn't expecting a great game considering Sledgehammer's uninspired first attempt at WW2, unimaginatively titled "CoD WW2", but I wasn't going in to this game expecting to dislike it based off SHG's (Sledgehammer Games) first attempt at making a game set in the 40's era. I won't give a long analysis or give away any spoilers regarding the campaign, but it isn't as if you'll desire playing past the 45 minute mark. To say the least; Vanguards story & dialogue is tragic at best. No memorable characters despite playing as multiple soldiers across the world during the most prolific & horrific conflict in history. Speaking of story, it does have one thing going for it- While playing as multiple characters through out the game, meeting many officers, civilians & other generic filler AI, the "story" remains consistent in being pathetic, unappealing, unimpressive & dull through out. If you're at the point with the series where you only purchase a game due to it's campaign, you're better of purchasing Half-Life 1 & 2 for an immaculate first person story experience. This pathetic attempt to create an appealing & emotional story is as unsuccessful as Blockbuster is in 2021. Multiplayer is similar to the campaign as it's uninspired, lazy & as forgettable as it gets. Maps are convoluted, with seemingly 10 ways to get shot from in every room & corridor. The time to kill near is instant, giving you virtually no way to react if you get shot in the back. (As mentioned, with the complex maze like maps you'll be getting shot from the back or side constantly.) That's not mentioning the horrific gun "balance", or lack there of more appropriately said. Only a few weapons are favourable, the remainder will not be touched by the majority of players as they'll receive a major disadvantage at all ranges. Bugs are literally unmissable, if I do reluctantly play a game I'll encounter at least one immersion breaking bug per game. I only wishing I were exaggerating, unfortunately not. If I do decide to destroy my mental stability & play more than one game, I'll consistently encounter game breaking bugs through out. Regardless of your ping or opposing players connection quality, you'll consistently be encountering intrusive bugs. Skill Based Match Making (SBMM) is as evident as ever, you'll only be playing against people of your skill level. Which never allows you to sit back, relax & enjoying playing a game. That's perhaps the worst part of this game, you either commit to trying your best every game, or you don't play it at all. Regardless of your decision, you will not be having any fun. Zombies is not even worth mentioning, the maps are as offencively uninspired & convoluted as the various ones in multiplayer, hostiles are pathetically programmed & forgettable to say the least. Nothing about this game has any redeeming qualities, it is another disgusting attempt by Activision to milk this once beloved series that somehow manages to continue to decline 10 years past its peak. Please do not purchase this game as you'll be thoroughly disappointed as I am. Thank you.

Game of the Year 10/10

This game was made in 8 months to my knowledge. This game is exactly like Modern Warfare 2019. Gameplay is near identical in a great way. This game has the best multiplayer maps since idk ten years ago. I actually like them and dont just want to play remastered maps from previous hits. The campaign is amazing. Has a few flaws but they are very minor and forgiveable. The Zombies mode is my favorite mode so far. I loved Cold War Zombies 100% but this one is off to a great start and much better for people and/or women, that love Zombie games like WWZ and Dying Light. It is a great transition and helpful. Great console worth every penny spent!

This console is what they say it is and more! The graphics on this console from games that are optimized or made for the Series X is above par and well worth its weight in Gold! The speed of it is like they bottled of The Flash and put him to work inside! The quick resume alone is a selling point for Microsoft and their Series X/S consoles. Speed is beautiful in a world that is always moving. I would give the speed a 5 out of 5 star!! If they can learn to make the loading times even faster then boy are we in for some great experiences in the future! Games: This is where, as of now, I have to say I wish there was more to offer! Game Pass alone is awesome for those who are new to xbox. They will have 100's of games available the day they turn on their console that they could experience for the 1st time and that is by far better than any gaming console on the market today. However, if you are looking for exclusive games that are new look great and feels great then there currently isn't much being offered by Microsoft. With their dozens of gaming studios they purchased over the past 5 or so years lets hope that is about to change and come E3 2021 we finally get a list of games that will make anyone want to go out and buy a Series X!!

I like how all my saves were kept in my Microsoft account in the cloud so I could seamlessly transition from playing my Xbox One games on my Xbox 1 X to playing it on this platform. Xbox Series X does Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound as well, so it takes advantage of my home theater's full potential. Lastly, I sold my Xbox Series S to upgrade to this one. I don't miss it at all. The Series S won't play your Xbox One games as it is all-digital, and that infuriated me, owning so many XBox One game already. If you already have an Xbox One, and a library of games, then you already have a library set for this console, and they will play better in all cases, and even considerably better if it says "Optimized for Series X" on the back of your disc case. I also want to note that there are many Xbox 360 and original Xbox games that you can play on this machine (theydon't cover all of them, but a lot). I was impressed that I could play HAWX for Xbox 360 and it not only played a little more smoothly, but also I could use my Xbox One/ Series S flight controller. At $500.00 it does seem pricey at first, but I look at it this way-- my $1000.00 gaming pc is not even capable of playing some graphics-intensive games like Elden Ring, and this console is. And it plays a lot of the games I play on pc noticeably better. And on that note, if you get gamepass for pc and console and download a pc game, in some cases if there is a corresponding Series X version of it, you can alternate between the two on the same game save. Oh, wow. The only reason I might persuade someone against buying this first, or buying instead of a PS5 is if you like the Sony Exclusive games like Spider-Man, Horizon Forbidden West, and the Uncharted series. Then definitely get a PS5 first (or instead) unless your passion in life is to play Halo 12 when it comes out.

It was fairly easy to set up and play however those two items right there make it NOT worth all the hype and huge dollars you are paying for it. especially removing the digital sound !! They cut corners, raised the price and hyped it to the moon. Im surprised they didn't offer a free copy of Microsoft Windows ME version with it :( Overall not very happy. Is it playable yes, but very disappointing.

LOL There will be patches!As for the gameplay and maps - the more I play, the more I enjoy them! I really like the maps so far, as a lot of the them have multi-levels so it's not all flat ground battles. Yes, there are always places for people to camp and there will always be campers - also, deal with it! I'm not that good of a player hanging around 1.0 E/D but find myself doing well often and not getting eliminated instantly by across the map quick scopes.The spawns definitely need the most work as I have respawned directly in front of the enemy looking down the sight way more times than I like to count, especially on the smaller maps. Hopefully that will get worked out!I enjoy all the multiplayer modes, including the Champion Hill - 8 teams of 3 randomly playing 3v3 matches until each team runs out of "lives". Nice change of pace from running and gunning.Zombies - oh Zombies, the type of mode you love or hate. I LOVED Cold War's zombies and brought a lot of my friends together as they did too. There was a game plan to figure out, coordinate and share with friends before and while you are playing. We tried to beat each other's highest Exfil round constantly, which made things fun. It wasn't the giant open world, 13 things to collect, "need to read a strategy guide" type mode. Vanguard's Zombies is a mix of everything - including Cold War's "Outbreak" mode, which involved you following an orb around and staying within. This installment involves a "main" area with "challenges" you select and complete as a team. Upgrades are available after every round, and perks are randomly scattered. It is semi-linear, but I kind of like that. Remember, releasing the same old JUNK gets boring so I'm glad they are trying to change it up.All in all, yes, it's just another Duty. I haven't tried Campaign yet because MP kept my busy all weekend. I hope they keep it fairly simple as Cold War's seasonal drops and added content just made my head spin and I lost interest. I can say I'm fairly surprise at how much fun I had with it over the weekend, and just played with randoms all weekend too....gawd I love Call of Duty trash talk waiting for a game to load hahaTry it for yourself!

Not the best COD but still great fun

Having played COD games since PS2 days all the way to PS5 you can really appreciate how far these games have come and the work put into it. I'm really enjoying the campaign as it really feels like a great WWII add on to the over populated High Tech Modern style games we have had. I love my MW and MW2 and Black ops 1 and Black Ops 2 game but its nice to get another decent WWII shooter. It may not be the best COD but still great fun in Single Player and Multiplayer online.As far as maps go they are just that another COD style maps. The guns feel just like your other COD WWII games and sound the same. I do like the fact you can sort of give orders and make your team members ( in campaign ) supress fire and move here and things like that but its nothing to write home about. Acting is good and visuals look great on a decent TV with nice frame rate. If anything if you don't want to pick this up now I would say grab it when on sale or something as like I said its still great fun for a COD game. I would recommend this game if you want another WWII game to add to your collection or want boots on the ground.

Xbox Series X has hardly any loading screens !

the most powerful xbox to date. the series x is the fastest loading system ive ever seen. want to play GTA 5 ? loading screens are so fast and minimal that its a serious game changer. dont wait 1-3 minutes on every loading screen ever again. this was its biggest draw for me. also it has quick resume if you decide to stop playing one game, jump into another, then watch some netflix. you can come back to your first game still where you left off and take right off ! never seen this before and its a must for every gamer. dont hesitate get one today. the graphics are on a whole other level. so many great things to say.
