Hate reaching to get your water bottle? This CamelBak will definitely help you with that. It fits nicely on the back. The pack quality is excellent. It is very durable. The reservoir has a wide mouth so filling it is very easy. It is also really easy to clean. Overall great pack to have when hiking/ biking.

Used this bag in the military had a wide mouth for easy filling. The bag could be attached to a plate carrier or used as a comfortable stand alone with tons of storage. This bag always found a way to fit in something somewhere to bring with my every where.

Excellent Product

I purchased the tan one specifically for my cross-country motorcycle adventures (on/off-road). I've taken this on quite a few trips now that were through the heat of Colorado in the middle of summer (and wild fire season), hail in Wyoming, and torrential downpour in Wisconsin and Michigan. I've also been on some rough trails with my adventure bike, and so far this has held up great. I like the extra storage space for a few emergency rations and water purification tablets for the adventures that take me off the beaten path for a few days at a time. It's really a rugged CamelBak with some extra storage space, and it's everything I need. 10/10 would definitely recommend this item!

Glad I bought it.

I bought 1 of these in 2019 /20. Thought I left a review, anyways. I bought this for when I go riding my quad & hiking. I like the on/ off valve near the bite valve , as well as the zippered pouches for putting a few 1st aid items or a granola bar etc. Has more room than that. Was just saying, is what I put in mine. Being I have storage bag on my quad, which is where I keep most of my stuff.

Great for the Size

I have several CamelBak hydration packs (I also have a MULE and a ThermoBak, in addition to the Ambush), and each has its place in my hiking plans. The extra pocket on the Ambush makes the pack a good size for a long day-hike. The pocket isn't all that big, but it's big enough to carry my emergency stuff, and some items (like SAM splint) will fit in the bladder compartment. It's the perfect size if you need something a bit larger than the ThermoBak (which is pretty much hydration only) but smaller than the MULE.

It’s a great product and

It’s a great product and feel well made. My only complaint is more personal due to my larger size it’s very uncomfortable around the chest strap when running. But overall is really great. Wish it had a mesh backing since I sweat so much but minor personal preference

My review is a bit

My review is a bit biased. I’ve always been a fan of camelbak. The Marine Corps issued us a brand new hydration bladder with a used beat up pack to keep it in. No matter how beat these packs were, they were great. They always held up and never failed. I don’t use this one as often as I did the one I had when I was active duty, but I definitely love it.

Perfect for 1-2 hour walks/hikes.

Great hydration pac for smaller hikes when you don’t need to take larger it’s. Fits a Glock 43X, wallet, phone and keys. I also carry a Tq and small bandages. Perfect for urban walks.

Solid bladder and carrier!

I was surprised at how low profile the whole system is. I use it regularly during training and it’s nice and low profile especially for the volume of water I’m able to carry on my back. If you’re in the military..ditch that issued junk and invest in your gear.. Plus it holds a stripped MRE perfectly! 👍

Solid camelbak

Ran a Spartan Race super (10k) with this in Palmerton PA. One of the tougher terrains. Camelbak was perfect. Had enough room for my phone and a few snacks. Love the look. I took it off for water/mid obstacles to keep it from getting dirty. I clean it by hosing it down and letting it air dry outside. Will be using it again for the Spartan race Beast (21k) ina couple of months. Perfect mixture of comfort, good looks and practical.
