I've been dedicated to these bottles for at least a decade and I'm so disappointed with the new downgrade.1. Good product but 3 stars for terrible picture. It is a smokey clear that looks closer to clear in certain light or angles. The picture makes it look like a solid grayish titanium color. The funny thing is Amazon actually has the correct picture. I think you should also have a few actual photos of the product.

I could see in the online picture that the design of the lid had changed, and wasn’t sure if they’d be interchangeable with my older bottles. They were, and I was pleased. However, my pleasure was short lived as after only a few days the spouts started to break. It’s now been a couple of months and of my 20 brand-new bottles, only 10 have the spout intact! This is absolutely unacceptable and Camelback should be ashamed of this poorly designed system. I literally have some 8-year-old lids with the original-designed spout still in perfect condition, while these 2-month-old newly-designed spouts are ripped apart.Camelback, what were you thinking?
Love the Camelbak products that I am replacing. BUT, I paid for the delivery of the new ones. It has taken a week to get them across the English Channel. I have no idea when they will get to Austria: the tracking info is dreadful. So the EXPERIENCE of Camelbak is not endearing to ordering directly from them. Though it hurts me to suggest it, buy from Amazon.
It is necessary to clean and dry a water bottle regularly to keep it sanitary.This bottle is far too difficult to wash and dry.It is difficult to take apart and has many pieces which can be easily lost.Taking it apart requires a lot of force and the user can easily slip and smash their fingers.Flexing in the tabs in and pushing the nozzle out requires a lot of force.This process of disassembling the product while wet should have been performed by usability experts.It should not have been determined that users hurting potentially hurting their hands under normal operation is acceptable.The nozzle will not air dry when disassembled according to the video.There is another internal silicone valve which prevents airflow through the nozzle.
The water flow mechanism inside the cap is loose which allows the lock to move past the locked position.Not sure if it's defective or just loose tolerance in manufacturing. Also the bottle itself seems to have strange color fluctuation.I'm not sure if I should return for a new one because I might just get the same defect.Not sure if I'll order from here again.It was priced well with fast shipping.Thanks
I finally bought some fresh new Podium bottles to replace the three that I had which I estimate I've rotated between using everyday for the last 9-10 years (clearly I loved the bottle). Much to my disappointment upon receiving the new bottles, they were nothing like my original bottles and the design has gone TERRIBLY downhill since I first purchased the Camelbak Podium bottle. All indentations and ridges that used to be around the outside-middle of the bottle and lid for enhanced grip during everyday or wet conditions had been replaced with a smooth, slippery surface. The locking feature on the lid is now a hard, sharp plastic that is difficult to grip and turn, as opposed to the more rounded and softer locking mechanism from before. Safe to say I went back to my 10-year-old bottles!!When I ordered my 3 new bottles, only 2 came in the package and I had to work with customer service to get my third bottle shipped... just further disappointment in the apparent state of the company/brand.
Well-built. Looks great. Graphics appear to scratch off after repeated usage with a plastic bike bottle cage. Nozzle can be disassembled for easier cleaning. Slightly different dispensing action than traditional bike bottles due to its internal pressure gate, but easy to use once you get the hang of it. The internal pressure gate prevents liquid from splashing out even if the nozzle is in the open configuration - effectively, this means you don't have to open/close the nozzle each time you use it (convenient!).
