Camelbak Luxe 3L Hydration Pack - Black

(19 reviews)

Stay hydrated This backpack is an all-terrain hero. The LUXURY carries enough gear for a full day of mountain biking and has a slim design that lets you focus on the ride, not your pack. The 3 liter reservoir holds enough water for rides of more than 3 hours, and the bag offers extra storage space for everything else you need: keys, helmet, lunch and cycling tools. The ventilated rear panels keep the air flowing over your back and the detachable waist belt keeps everything in place on bumpy rides. Thanks to the women's-specific design, the contoured shoulder straps have a comfortable fit over the chest without chafing, and the shorter pack length offers a better ergonomic fit.

A great pack!

Purchased the L.U.X.E. 100oz. pack in Mineral Blue Blue Haze. I love the color as it is a pretty mint green! 100 oz. reservoir is great for hikes, bike rides and other outdoor
activities! The front "pouch" is great to put a shirt through and the amount of storage in 2 other pockets plus a small pocket on top is great! A great fit for women! This is the
second L.U.X.E. pack I have because my daughter uses my other one which still looks new and functions greatly!

Bought this hydration pack for short/day hikes. I used it once for a 7 miles/2.5 hours hike and it was perfect. Not too heavy or bulky for a 5'2" petite woman. The total capacity
of the pack is actually 10 L (3 L for water and 7 L for gear). Even with full hydration reservoir, the space is enough for hiking essentials for hikes with predicable weather. Some
minor cons about this pack: 1) the zippered reservoir compartment only opens 3/4 of the way, 2) it's difficult to hang the reservoir to the bag because the loop is too short, 3)
no side pockets for water bottles, 4) no compartment on the hip belt.

I bought this a month or two ago and I have no regrets! I bought it to use for rollerblading. Before this Pack, I was using a good ole fanny pack to carry my water bottles
(multiple bottles - lots of plastic waste), but halfway through my trip, I would be out of water due to the tiny size of the pack. This 100 oz pack is exactly what I needed to keep
me hydrated on all of my trips. I bought this for the main use of rollerblading, but I have used it for hiking and biking as well and I look forward to using it for skiing this winter.
I was nervous about the size of the bag, but it was more compact than I thought. This is a great versatile pack with multiple storage options, I have no issue carry... Show more

You are able to fill the hydration pack as little or much as you want depending on how far you are planning to adventure that day, so you do not always need to lug around the weight of 100 oz unless you plan to drink it all or use it for easy weight training. The only "difficult" part of using the pack is hooking the bladder to the loop at the top of the pack, but I think over time the loop will stretch out a bit, and with will become easier too use. I highly recommend this pack!... Show more

Good fit but reservoir not perfect
4 September 2021
I like the fit of this pack and love that there are two separate main pockets. I also like the materials and find it comfortable to wear. I like that the reservoir has a release button for the tube - improves cleaning/drying a lot! My big complaint about this pack is the tube - it is not long enough, not flexible enough, and the magnetic tube trap is useless as far as I can tell. I tried several different configurations and couldn't find one where the magnet was helpful, and it's quite difficult to snap and unsnap if you are able to use it. I've found that Osprey is far superior in their tube and magnet design. I did decide to keep this pack, though, and I was able to use it without the magnet. I also wish there were more color options.... Show more

Great Hydration Pack
14 March 2023
I started using Camelback packs during my career with a federal land management agency. Tough durable, well made, and dependable. I have tried other brands but they don't hold up as well as Camelback hydration packs. Highly recommend. I use Camelback hydration packs for multi-day hikes into Wilderness areas, and for big game hunting in southern New Mexico. Has served me well.... Show more

Great! Only Complaint is the Magnetic Tube Trap
28 June 2020
Overall, I really love my CamelBak. I have read reviews of people saying that the backpack is smaller than they expected. I measured it to be 17 inches tall and 10 inches wide at the top. This is perfect for me. The water bladder is about the same size, which can make it hard to put into the backpack when full, but it is doable. The air director pannel isn't as effective as I had hoped, but it still works well and the padding is minimal, but is enough to be comfortable. It is very light, weighing no more than 5 pounds, and one of my scales measured it to be 1 & 3/4 of a pound (although this is probably not very accurate). My only major complaint is the magnetic tube trap. It doesn't come undone when you pull it forwards, but instead when you pull it to the side ... MoreOverall, I really love my CamelBak. My only major complaint is the magnetic tube trap. It doesn't come undone when you pull it forwards, but instead when you pull it to the side towards your chest (check the video). I have bent the straw several times because of this, so there is now a crease in it. Otherwise, I think that the product is very cute (especially the colors, mine is Black/Columbia Jade), and I have learned to pull the straw to the side with the tube trap. Overall, I would recommend this to a friend, and the lifetime warrenty is a comfort. Would buy again!... Show more

Great pack for a day hike
30 October 2022
I purchased an earlier version of this pack many years ago and I love it. Everything about it works - the pockets, the hooks, the amount of water, all of the adjustable straps. You can take as little or as much water as you want. Super comfortable. Plenty of room for all the essentials. Purchased this one as a gift and the user feels exactly the same.... Show more

Multi-use even for non-mountain bikers
31 May 2021
I just bike around on paved trails, but also used this for hiking on shorter trails and birdwatching. Really easy to throw some snacks/water/sunscreen/sunglasses/binoculars/extra socks in the bag and a raincoat in the front pocket and it still weighs next to nothing and is compact. I haven't used the hydration flask yet and usually take it out which gives even more room for bulkier things if you want to throw a small book or layer in as well depending on the length of your hike/day trip and where you go.On bike rides when I'm out somewhere more isolated I'll throw my food/water/tools and pump in the bag too. No discomfort, no ill-fitting. Really love the size of it, it's definitely going to be my adventure bag moving forward... Show more

My god I love this thing
23 June 2022
I work outside and bought this last year and it’s held up so well. I walk all day but got it with the idea of also being able to bike with it. Because of the friction of walking thousands of steps per day, the mesh started wearing out but it still works just as well! This year, I upgraded the bladder to the insulated one and it’s a tight fit, but so worth it! I work in the south texas heat in summer and this has saved me when I wear it on 90+ or 100+ degree days! LOVE it. Especially with some electrolyte drops. Fantastic and now I can’t wait to use it on bike rides.... Show more

Very nice
29 March 2021
Let me say that I didn't end up keeping this so I can't talk to longevity of the product; however, I bought this after a LOT of research and thought it was a very nice pack, I'm sad that I'm not keeping it. The material is great...we have an OLD camelbak from over a decade ago that's still going strong and this reminds me of that. I don't doubt that this would last a while. I love the fit of this (I'm 5'5", average build) and I LOVE the color of the cerise/pomegranate as it's not a bright pink and it's not a drab dark pink, it's actually done much better than I imagined. The chest strap is very comfortable and the pack is very compact. There's adequate pockets for a short hike/bike, the front expands quite a bit for quickly throwing in a shirt or something of that ... MoreLet me say that I didn't end up keeping this so I can't talk to longevity of the product; however, I bought this after a LOT of research and thought it was a very nice pack, I'm sad that I'm not keeping it. The chest strap is very comfortable and the pack is very compact. There's adequate pockets for a short hike/bike, the front expands quite a bit for quickly throwing in a shirt or something of that sort and then there's two other compartments plus the sunglasses/money pocket. But, those pockets are NOT big. I could fit my 6 year old's sweatshirt in the larger pocket but aside from that I could probably fit a snack container then the other pocket was smaller so I could maybe put a camera, water bottle and a few shallow (ie. not a thermos) snacks in there. The bladder is a good size but the hose doesn't really stay down anywhere, you'd need to tuck it under a strap so it's not flailing around. The only reason I'm returning this is that I didn't realize HOW small it would be and while I wanted something small I want to be able to fit a lunch and 2 sweatshirts in it. Otherwise, the only negative that I would have dealt with would be the hose and I would have easily dealt with that because the pack is that nice. If you're good with the size then I would very much recommend this. It's skinny, compact and comfortable on top of being beautiful.... Show more
