Camelbak Podium Chill 600ml Insulated Water Bottle - Grey Blue Stripe

I have this in the dusty purple color that matches my bike! I enjoy using it and it fits in my bottle holder just perfect. You can easily squeeze the bottle to squirter water in your mouth while you ride which is convenient when you don't want to stop. It beats bringing a basic plastic water bottle or the other non squeeze styles. I will say for this being insulated...it doesn't keep the water color or maintain ice for too long. I would say at about an hour being outside in the heat, the water has no ice and is cool, not cold. Not a bad option but I'm used to the performance of my hydroflask...I just can't bike with it

A water bottle with potential

I have only had the chance to use this water bottle once while biking so I can't comment about its insulation ability. But the bottle has a good feel in the hand. The idea of an extra locking mechanism so it doesn't leak is good. However, it is very tight and when I try to loosen the locking mechanism it also loosens the top from the bottle. I am hoping the locking mechanism loosens up with time, so that is why I knocked it down one star.

Good Bottle with handy lock function

There I am, reviewing water bottles…My favourite bottle. The insulation is a great beneft over other bottles. Weight really doesn’t matter. Just fill in 50ml less into your bottle and you will be lighter than any lightweight bottle on the market.Handy lock feature preventing water splashes when riding over pot holes or rough roads.My go to bottle gor any ride or race as it release a lot of water in a short amount of time which is important especially in racing.

Immediate favorite for long summer rides

This bottle has everything I wished for. Does not drip while on the bike, the lid fits securely and will not drip, opens easily to refill, and is easy to drink from by squeezing the bottle while on the bike.The Chill, with its lightly insulated walls, is still easy to drink from even with small and sort of weak hands. Perfect fit in carbon bottle holders on a 49" (That's pretty small) size road bike frame. I also purchased the 24 OZ regular Podium, and they fit the same as the 21 Chill (with insulation). I use the regular Podiums for those months when temps are less hot. I live and ride in extreme heat, and in the summer I ride ONLY with the Podium Chill, just a few more grams of bottle weight is worth it. For super hot rides, I freeze about 1 inch of water overnight in these, then fill with ice-cold water for a tolerably chill liquid to drink during the ride. In all, the 4 Camelbak bottles I own now have proven to be so excellent, I ordered 4 more today. They hold up, are no fuss, and there is no plastic taste!

Ineffective Insulation

As I already have a (several years old) Camelbak bottle and wanting an insulated one to keep my drinks cooler on long rides, I bought this one.I like the twist-to-seal spout and the bottle appears to be robustly made.Sadly I am disappointed with the insulated feature. I filled this bottle and my old uninsulated one with chilled water. Two hours into my ride (on quite a warm day) and I found that the contents of both bottles had warmed up by a similar amount. It also appears that Camelbak have changed the shape of their bottles slightly. It's not the same as my older bottles.

I have a couple Camelback water bottles from years back. I thought these would be the same, but the nozzle is different. I think they redesigned it so you can take it apart to clean it. I understand that is important, but I find the process awkward and the nozzle doesn't seem to function as smoothly as my older bottles. Sometimes it leaks a little. I could be reassembling it wrong. Anyhow, I am glad I just bought one. Someone else may like it.

Not a fan...

I have been using this bottle on and off for about 12 months. I bought this bottle on the reputation of CamelBak, but it is the biggest disappointment I've had from the company.The insulation on this bottle works well and it's a great size, but that's about all I can say "nice" about the product. With a small amount of ice added before a ride, it will keep my drink cool for 2-3 hours.The bottle is impossible to operate as intended while riding a bike. Switching from the "off" to the "on" position requires two hands, so I find that I leave it in the "on" position. This defeats the purpose of having an "off" and makes me wonder why the bottle is so complicated to begin with!The valve is so deeply inset into the cap that the bottle collects a quarter-inch of mud ... MoreI have been using this bottle on and off for about 12 months. This is between you and your water when you want to take a drink, and is IMPOSSIBLE to clean when you get home (I've tried a few specialty brushes).I seldom use this bottle any longer, and when I do it is while riding my trainer at home. Terrible customer service

I purchased several replacement bottle caps for my podium/camelbak bottles. They came off from the bottle(s) several times during rides. Lost several of these caps on the road, because you don't know when they are going to fall off and even if someone behind calls it out, conditions don't always allow you to immediately stop a group ride to retrieve yur bottle cap! Caps were tight. I always made sure of that after it happened the first time. I tried reporting the issue to customer service. They told me I should take a picture of them showing them when they fell off and send it to them!!!! So they really expected me to hire someone with a camera to ride along side me on all my rides??? The Perfect, Sports Loving Bottle

By far the best bottle I've ever had. It has a great insulation system. It keeps colder drinks cool for a couple hours, and keeps your room temperature water suitable and not hot and disgusting.On top of this, the hygienic, sealed lip where you drink from is perfect. It makes it easy to drink without worrying about dirt or damaging the top.It's easy to clean out too. And has a pressure system that makes it easy to squeeze and drink whilst exercising or at sport. I feel like whenever I squeeze, it controls the amount in even spurts which makes it all the more impressive.Definitely not going to stop using this bottle like the many others I've had.

We bought 3 of these

We bought 3 of these for mountain biking specifically. Absolutely love them. The only issue we had is that one of them is difficult to turn to "unlock" the drink part. Of course this was the one our youngest son has. Otherwise though, not one bad thing to say about them. Sure we will be purchasing more in the future. Did not disappoint!
