Camille Rose Fresh Curl Hair Smoother - 8 oz

I have Indian hair that is naturally curly and wavy. I’ve started to look after my curls more and did the porosity test and found I have low porosity hair (doesn’t absorb water easily). If you look into your hair type you’ll know this means I need moisture (not protein) and found this gel to create castes with. It is good in that it doesn’t weight my hair down or make it overly greasy on the day or next day but it does build up after the third (obvs). It does define the curl and is a good product for a light gel.

These products are wonderful! It is important to use products that maintain a color and integrity of your hair. I can be found everywhere so i accessible as a consumer. I like the smell and the value for money. In comparison to other products and rates very highly. The smell is fresh and lasts. There is no residue left on the hair. My friend and I compare products and we all agree that that this is one of the best ones to use. A lot goes a long way to keeping a hair healthy.

Didn't Care for It

I had high hopes for this, but it just didn’t work for me. It has no slip and it just sits on top of my head. It’s a very thick consistency. I have to try really hard to actually work it in. Because of that I feel like I’m over manipulating my hair just to work it through. My hair is low porosity so maybe this would work better for high porosity hair. Once I worked it through it did make my hair feel a bit softer. It also smells amazing! It’s a delicious vanilla cake batter scent. That alone almost made me want to keep it, but ultimately I returned it. It didn’t give the amount of moisture I really needed.

Great Product!

This is a really great product. I went natural about a year and a half ago and am always on the hunt for hair care products that work well on my hair. I have very thick hair with tight curls. This product adds moisture and defines my curls very nicely. I really like that you can use it on when your hair is wet or dry. It’s very easy to use, just pump some of the curl cream on your hair and work it through your hair, work it through the tips and edges and style as usual. I use a wide tooth comb to lift out curls and a brush for my edges. I hate when products give you a huge instruction list of how to use or tell you it has to be used in combination with another product. The use for this product is very simple and straight forward. It works well alone. Although sometimes I add a separate edge control. The bottle says it has a peach quava scent but I don’t smell peach or guava. It’s a sweet smell, more like a sugar scrub. I wish it smelled more like peach or guava but I still really love this product. I also love their aloe whipped butter gel. I typically use that after I wash while it’s still wet.

Great Purchase!

I’m glad I found this! I feel like it helps define my waves/curls and keeps the frizz at bay. I also like that it doesn’t make my hair feel greasy or heavy. The texture of the cream is quite thick. After applying it to my hair, I will brush it in then scrunch to bring back my waves/curls. Then I’ll apply mouse and scrunch a bit more and then let it air dry. Also, this smells delicious!

Great cream

Lately my hair has been feeling very dry and not healthy at all (3b - 3c curls) . I used this with a small amount of gel and my hair feels so soft and nice compared to when I have used other creams. Great price as well and a lot cheaper than other hair products that are not as good. Only have to use a small amount aswell which isn’t usually the case with my hair. This will be my go to product for now

Holy Heavens, Yes!

I love everything about this moisturizing, softening, detangling lotion for my 2a/c, low/normal porosity, fine but thick waves. I can't do most oils without oily roots plus weighed down hair and sprays tend to leave buildup. This stuff is a hair lotion that feels pretty thick but goes on light and absorbs right in! I can't believe how amazingly it softens, hydrates and refreshes hair, while providing amazing slip and leaving no residue or heaviness whatsoever, even when used back to back! I need a detangler because my hair is so long and fine but brushing can frizz out my hair. I gave up on sprays because of a crispy, dry residue, but this stuff is heaven sent like all CR products I've tried! Nice but unnecessary

This isn't something you're going to need in your everyday hair care lineup. I loveee CR products but I feel like there's way too many moisturizers that are marketed to seem more than just that. This is one of them. It is a very light styling lotion/gel that does a good job in helping me to do my slick puffs but it doesn't do more than what another CR moisturizer would do. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of the smell. I find that it makes my hair stink after a couple uses. I recommend that green tea & jojoba moisture butter or the macadamia nut moisturizer instead. Nevertheless, it was fun trying this!

Not Sure of Intended Goal

I love this brand better than any other brand I've used on my natural 4c hair but I'm not clear on the purpose of this particular item. Is it a detangler, leave-in-conditioner, curl definer? Does it replace any of these items, if not what is the purpose of this item, other than adding additional costs? I'm not sure if it's necessary, so I use it with different "same brand" items to figure it out. I highly recommend this brand for natural hair to define curls AND it never flakes in my hair.

terrible

i tried adding a really small amount, medium amount, large amount. nothing worked good. i tried it on dripping wet hair, dry hair, oily hair, damp hair. nothing worked. i have 3a/ 3b hair and all it did was make my hair look oily and it felt crispy and greesy... it was just a mess. also the product smells terrible. if it worked good and had the smell i would still use it. except it DOESNT work good so it's just a no from me. and in the end, it didn't even make my curls look good. crazy right.
