I have several of these brand jerry cans in various sizes. They seal well and the internally stored spout keeps nice and clean. You will get the fuels smell on your hand (especially diesel) but that's better than cleaning out a funnel or externally stored spout before you use it.Great fuel storage container.

I purchased 3 of this product 1 month ago. Upon filling with fuel found each of the 3 products leaked fuel from the breather cap. Which in turn leaked all through the boot of my car. I took the products back to BCF. They invited me to try another 3. All of which leaked from the same place. BCF then told me that it was my fault because the product was not intended to be layed down!! I then had to purchase more expensive steel jerry cans that miraclulously didn’t leak at all.Do not purchase this product. And TBH, BCF treated me poorly and gave me no discount on having to purchase 3 more expensive products.

Leaks badly from spout when trying to fill car's tank. Yes it was checked that spout fitting was not misaligned, the quality of the spout and gasket is rubbish compare to the Canadian make. Have to transfer to smaller other container to fill the car.
I never use this Jerry can. Every time I do fuel goes everywhere. The seal on the spout is hopeless. The spout is too stiff to curve into a filler hole and the whole thing pops out of the can. I've complained to Proquip and their answer is it meets Australian standards. Rubbish. Shame because the can itself is good quality.
I had to fit a seal to the round yellow disc to prevent spillage when the spout was removed. I'msure most people would not leave the spout immersed in fuel when the can is filled with fuel.It would be very simple for the can to be supplied with a seal. The small breather cap is tight toclose - I thought it was closed but fuel spilled when the can was filled and slightly tilted and loaded in to the car boot. It has to be closed very firmly.
Used this down at the track to top up the car. Has a screw on nozzle hidden under the cap which when attached snugly works great with the additional breather cap opened up. Slow pour but no spill. No need for extra funnel. I suggest filling to 15l as 20l is getting a little heavy unless you have a mate handy.
Bought two of these 8 months ago and they have been faultless!! Very easy to use when you know what you are doing. So, so fast to empty, really saves you time and your back. Only takes about a minute to empty the contents into the 4WD, unlike other brand I previously owned that took about 5 minutes each!!! I bought these on the 'fast flow' promise and they absolutely delivered. Great Aussie product!!
Yes I am happy with the second one as the first one I bought had a leak in the top seam, But your staff swapped it and gave me a replacement, without any argument. So that was great for your staff at Bribie Island. they are very pleasant to talk to and very helpful. Thank you
For storage it works fine, and the breather hole is a good feature. But the spout is, like others describe, weak and flimsy. When you've got a full jerry it's prone to popping out of the collar. Also, the gasket used to seal it is held in very weakly too, and if you don't make sure it's properly seated all the way during tightening down it'll leak out on you. Again, works perfectly fine for storing and transporting fuel, just don't rely on its nozzle.
