Cannondale CAAD13 Disc 105 great bike

I was looking for an entry level race bike with a geometry that sat me a little more upright. This bike has been as good as I could wish for considering the price. It arrived mostly pre-assembled with easy instructions to complete assembly. Very comfortable ride and positioning of brakes and gear levers, 105 groupset has very smooth gear changing, stable at higher speeds (got it up to 44mph), disc brakes have excellent stopping ability, and looks good too. Overall very pleased with purchase.

Decent with a few tweaks

I bought it as a backup bike and trainer slave. My other bike is a Giant TCR. The Cannondale is very similar in geometry and feels very familiar to the TCR. You definitely feel the weight difference in even the slightest of climbs though. I have a set of Boyd Rouleur wheels that I want to swap out and see if that improves the performance. On the flatter road it is very nice to ride. With pedals and bottle cages it weighs in at 22.0 pounds. The Tiagra drivetrain shifts are crisp and smooth. Brakes are fair. I might replace them with 105 set. Otherwise I'd easily recommend the bike. A wheel and tire upgrade and brakes would give you a bike that really works and performs very well. I got mine for $1100

Full mudguards don't fit

Despite having mudguard mounting points, full mudguards don't fit. I couldn't fit SKS Bluemels. Sigmasports couldn't fit those or any others. Cannondale couldn't advise any that fit and indeed they don't test that any do. There simply isn't enough clearance between the tyre (standard 25mm tyre the bike ships with) and the fork crown/brake caliper.I returned the bike and bought a Tifosi CK7 (which comes fitted with full length mudguards). Sigmasports were brilliant at sorting that out in the last week before Christmas so my daughter got a new bike for Christmas.

Got my dream ride y'all??????????
1 March 2023

Finding this bike is truly a dream come true! I had been patiently waiting for this bike to become available for almost two years. Supply chain issues, etc had crippled its production. From the color, weight, appeal, and parts this bike exceeds all of my expectations! I'm so very happy. Jake and team are really knowledgeable and they all provide outstanding customer service. Huge kudos to them!!!!

Great Starter Bike and Excellent Service
27 August 2024

I bought this bike at the beginning of summer and have enjoyed it ever since. Leon at Sigma was great at fitting it to me, suggesting upgrades (without being pushy) and I left feeling confident after an hour of help. Great bike for loops around Richmond park and lightly further afield.

Great choice
22 July 2024

I am a beginner roadie. I didn't do a whole lot of research - I just went with a bike that had an attractive price point and decent enough specs. Really, I had no idea. More than a year of having this bike, I can say without hesitation, it's worth every penny. It matches my skill level and fitness level - and the Tiagra shifting is snappy and responsive. I made some upgrades with new tyres, wheels, and crankset, but you don't really need to do this. It's great out of the box. Sigma also did a fab job of putting it all together and shipping it. Super easy to assemble out of the box. With the summer sale, you'd be a fool not to grab one.

Great start!
21 March 2024

This is my first bike. I came from turkey for vacation and bought a bike here. It is quite enough for beginners. I think it is a complete price / performance product. I am also very pleased with sigma customer service. Whenever i wrote to them, they answered me immediately and were very supportive.

Great starter bike
4 September 2023

I've heard nothing but positive feedback when it comes to Cannondale road bikes, so I decided to purchase this model as my starter bike . It has many of the necessary components to ride comfortably for long distances without breaking the bank. As an added bonus, if you register your bike on the Cannondale website the frame is insured for life. To me this purchase was a no brainer and is a great intro to the world of cycling.

Honestly - too new of a bike for a solid review
30 November 2023

The bike is still very new to me. I've only ridden it outside once and now it's hooked up to my trainer for indoor rides (that was why I bought the bike - for use on the trainer). I have another bike for my outside rides that I am very used to, so my ride on this one did feel a bit awkward and I know that is typical when riding a bike you're not familiar with, plus I hadn't gotten my fit right on that first outdoor ride. Overall it has a very light feel. I suppose it is good for the price. It's fine for my needs on the trainer but I'm not sure I would love it for long outside rides. I probably would be able to write a more reliable review a year from now but the website keeps asking me for a review even though I only bought it a month ago, so here it is.

New Bike Purchase
6 May 2023

The bike is very light, lighter than my last bike for sure (I had a Giant, no issues good bike) great rides, took me a minute to figure out the gears shifts (and I did read the directions) since then, smooth riding, feels like I'm sailing threw air. will be taking some extended rides in the next 7 - 10 days. Should be fun. Only minor issue no kickstand.I purchased one separately from Cannondale. I would recommend for anyone who likes road biking.
