With a recent Granddaughter in the family, I needed to get some more paper. With my Canon printer, I only ever use genuine cartridges, and with it, genuine Canon photo paper. Although thoroughly recommended, Canon have pulled a fast one here. It's rated at 200gsm. That's the weight of 1 sheet per square metre.( I used to be in the printing industry, that's how paper weight is measured). However, my old pack is 210gsm. The difference may not seem much, but the thickness is quite noticeable. As it happens, all the photos I print are going into an album anyway, so not a problem for me, but an observation nonetheless. On a positive, the new paper does look a little 'whiter' so will give a better colour balance.

When I want a high gloss print and not every situation calls for that this is my go to paper. The blacks are just so deep and rich and the highlights hold detail. I find my black and white prints have a glow that I just have not been able to get with other papers. I use this with my Canon Pixma Pro100 printer.

To use on the pro one needs to buy the paper in rolls and cut it. But who makes the paper...there is no Canon name stamped on the back like most Canon papers.....Perhaps this is why it is so difficult to buy.

Use professionally with Canon PIXMA Pro 100. Beautiful prints, the quality of very noticable when compared to other nonCanon products. Most importantly My clients are blown away by the clarity. It gleems of high quality. Could not be happier You truly get more than you pay for. Get this product.
I use the Canon 13x19 photo luster paper to proof my fine art prints produced from original paintings. Its great quality paper and works beautifully with my Canon color printer. I highly recommend.
For anyone starting to print on Canon printers, this is the paper to start with. Almost any image once prepared and suitable for print looks good on this paper. It has a nice ICC profile, a reasonable thickness, dries quick and a great pop with a nice balance of shine without being too glossy. Blacks have room on this paper to express themselves. Bill Atkinsons widely circulated test print came out perfect on it first time, and matched well against my calibrated monitor. In case you are not able to color calibrate your monitor, then turn down its brightness and any special modes on the monitor and view the test print on screen. If possible also best to view in a room with daylight 5400k. I am finding a great joy in returning to making my own prints again, and the full circle experience of it. I am also looking at making my own frames as well. I feel no need to return to film, as the modern technology has advanced so much. Making our own prints makes us better photographers, particularly when expanding our repertoire of paper types, and at least for myself, I find that I am reflecting more when photographing how it will look on print.

I use this paper for fine art photo reproductions. I print on a Canon 9500 Pro and the pigments work beautifully on this paper. I get wonderful tones and details that make my photos POP. The pictures must be handled carefully as not to scratch them. I use this paper for 80 percent of all of my prints for my gallery.
My first Dell printer was 35, but the sting is in the ink refills. The Dell would not recognise compatible inks. The next printer was an Epson (49) that was OK for a while, but I became convinced these low priced printers, apart from the ink prices also had a life built in as after a couple of years the Epson printer would not recognise genuine Epson inks. My next printer was a HP model bought from Argos that my pc would not load its own CD software. I am now using a Canon again from Argos and admittedly the inks are not cheap but the features and quality are better than experienced. I only purchase genuine Canon inks and am repaid in quality and longevity. I also only purchase Canon photo paper.
