Canon DSLR EOS 200D Mark II, Black With EF 18-55mm Lens

The first multifunction camera l have ever bought is the Canon EOS 200D. It came with 2 lenses as a package. I am a complete novice and l chose this brand and model because it represented good value for my budget, it promised ease of use and great quality photographs. I have not been disappointed. This is a camera that can be used in full auto mode, selected scenes or genres or in modes where l can have partial or full control of my settings. The camera feels comfortable in my hands, is light and not tiring to use. The full number of settings are not at all overwhelming and there is something to learn in all styles l am trying. I wanted a budget friendly DSLR to rediscover my love for photography and this camera fit the bill perfectly! It has all the necessary features and settings for flexing your manual muscle plus an excellent selection of programs and filters when you want to let the camera do the hard lifting. I’ve found this camera grows with me as I’m not re-learning old skills and learning new ones, whether it be snapping our pets or attempting astrophotography and auroras. Easy to use, lightweight camera!

I bought this camera a few years ago and I love it! I take it everywhere. It’s lighter and more compact than my old camera meaning it’s easy to walk and travel with. The auto settings are super easy to use and there are a number of filters. The camera still can be used in manual mode for added control. With this camera you can produce some amazing images.

Excellent Camera

This camera is brilliant. I bought it for some complex video shooting after seeing many positive reviews. As someone who needs a professional look without knowing much about the manual settings, this camera does the trick. It's auto settings make everything look amazing, even in low light (no grainy blacks). It shoots in 4K which means I can import it into Premiere Pro at 1080p with a nice zoom. It allows me to get in nice and close to my subject without losing focus or quality. It also takes a mean photo. I've only used the automatic settings so far and all my photos look like I know what I'm doing. As an artist and editor, I really didn't want to have to learn photography and videography as well. I would recommend this camera to artists and content creators alike.

I love this camera

I am very much a beginner when it comes to photography but I am fortunate to have two, quite advanced photographers in the family to teach me. For many months I was borrowing other cameras and lenses, all the while trying to remember what each setting did. Their cameras were intimidating for a beginner, however the 200D comes set up for a complete beginner and explains the functions as you move through menu's and change settings. The button and dial placement is intuitive and I found myself beginning to adjust some things without even looking, very quickly. The shot's are beautiful and it is easy to both get crisp focus manually or automatically. The camera is smaller than many others and fits nicely into my hands which are on the small side. The shot's are beautiful and it is easy to both get crisp focus manually or automatically. The camera is smaller than many others and fits nicely into my hands which are on the small side. The size and weight of other rigs have been a concern because once you add bigger lenses you're lugging around a fairly heavy camera and I personally begin to shake and end up with disappointing shots. My only wish is better dust protection but at the price I purchased it, I am very happy with the product.

Light weight and versitile

Got this to replace an old SLR3. Battery life is excellent, but I did get another one just in case. The video is great and I have been complimented on the images many times. Excellent for a beginner as it has all kinds of instructions built in. You can switch those off when you improve your skills. I would recommend for travel as has a small footprint, even with a decent sized lens
