This body cap for my Canon R5 takes it to the next level. It's perfectly round, flat and just the right shade of black to match my camera. The quality of my images have greatly improved ever since I started using this cap, especially when I remember to take it off. I've heard some complaints about the notch indicating where you line up the cap to match the red indicator on the camera body not being as noticeable and easy to see. I did a glitter hack to solve this issue and will be making a YouTube video on the process.

It never hurts to have an extra body cap - they sometimes get lost or misplaced. This one does the job for which it was intended. It's a little tighter than the one that came with the camera, but not a problem.

As far as I can tell I can use this cover both on my RF mirrorless camera body as well as my DSLR. However, it doesn't work the other way around.There is a alignment mark on the camera cover however it would be really helpful if it was were clearly visible such as being marked in red.

The alignment mark on the R5 camera cover is hard to see. Get yourself one of Sharpie's new metallic permanent markers. I use silver but you can also find gold. If you need one it is an emergency. There's a strong possibility, as I found out, that the cover is going to be out of stock when you need it. So just get one now and keep it in the camera bag. Future emergency averted.

Basic plastic covers for the end of the RF lens that fits onto the camera and as a cap for the camera when there is no lens attached. The little level bubbles are of soft plastic and slide into the flash shoe mount on top of the camera. It protects the flash shoe and assists with horizontal levelling when the camera is mounted on a tripod.
I am surprised that I wasn't asked to review the camera. The body cap definitely covers the hole with Canon's perfectly engineered fit!If you have the camera and you take off the lens you need this!
Body caps are easy to lose, or to get misplaced in your camera bag or you forget to put them in your bag. I like to have extras to keep in my truck, in my camera bags, just in case. I can't always fit my cameras and lenses in my camera bags with a lens on each camera, but could never store a camera or put one in a bag without a body cap on it.
These RF caps do not go on as readily as the EF caps (which could go on in multiple ways of rotation), and it takes a conscious effort to align the markers in order to put the cap on.
This will fit any canon R body. It is the original Canon product, not a fake. They are easy to lose, so I bought an extra one.
