When my previous and cheaper Canon MG3660 printer died after giving good service over five years, I thought I would replace it for my home office with this more expensive Pixma G3660 that would allowed me to refill the cartridges myself. That feature seemed a bit more environmentally responsible. I researched the purchase, bought one, but when I set it up, was dismayed to discover that the G3660 is unable to do double-sided print! I was told the removal of this function was there in the small print, but it never occurred to me that buying a Canon printer designed for home and small office could not offer double sided printing. As a mum of a young non-verbal autistic child I’m constantly printing visual aids, activities, home work from his therapists ect. I would easily go through a ream of paper a month. The print quality has been amazing even when set on draft or normal. My HP I had previously utilised the black and colour ink cartridges which would cost me $80 every 6 to 8 weeks. I’m happy to report that with the amount of printing I’ve done I’ve barely put a dent in the ink tanks (2 reams)There is no duplexing on this canon mega tank which isn’t an issue for me as it’s not something I ever used. I had been looking at this printer for awhile but the price threw me off until now. With a $120 saving I decide to buy it and was glad I did. Its so light and easy to setup. I pre downloaded the software and all the drivers before actually purchasing it. Brought it home and plugged it in. Walha presto printing straight away. Great value at the reduced price cheers.

I wasn't keen on spending that much for a printer as I only use it for my crafts. Due to the price of inkjet cartridges, I was looking at a colour laser printer. Then I realised I couldn't print on shrink films with a laser printer, so I was back at looking for an inkjet. After much research, I decided to bite the bullet and buy the Canon G660. I am glad I did. The prints on shrink films are fantastic and my high res graphics for digital paper for scrapbooking are also excellent. The printer was fairly easy to setup, the printing is fast and not noisy, even with a full A4 graphic and millions of colours. There is enough ink in the bottles to do quite few prints too! I am very happy with my purchase and it will be less costly than a standard inkjet printer.
Easy set up. Connected to wifi quickly. Good clarity of print.Have had Canon printers for years. This new printer meets my expectations.
Easy to put together and set up.However, I can't figure out how to change printer settings on a Mac. But I think that's a Mac thing.Canon have their own app to print from so been using that but it's annoying as you have to click through a few pages to get to print.Prints are so far so good.I've only done a little bit of colour prints so can't really tell if they're average or above.B&W photo prints have turned out great.Just a little slow to print but that might be due to the detail of the photo.

I use it for art prints and stickers and the colour and quality is fantastic. as expected, lower quality papers produce pretty ordinary results, so if you want nice looking products get some nice paper. colours are especially vibrant on satin and gloss finish papers so i would recommend those! setup was super easy and i can print from my mac, pc, and android phone with no issues. have yet to get any paper jams or oopsies and filling the ink is really easy too. only reason its not 5 stars is that this is a slow printer. a very slow printer. you have been warned. also no auto double sided printing, so you need to grab the printed page and put it back through the rear tray, so if you're wanting a printer to do photos and documents for work, this printer ... Moregreat printer!
