Love the flatbed scanner that comes with this model. Many functions in a compact size.Print quality cannot match a big printer. Yet clear and vivid color prints are acceptable.

I actually went in to buy a TR7660 but this model caught my eye as it was so much better looking. So far no issues - setup was easy. I can print and scan from any laptop, pc, phone or tablet. Prints are nice and clear. All in all this is so much nicer than the horrible Epson I just got rid of. Plus the number of nice print utilities and features are great - my daughter loves the ability to print animal models and cut them out and build them.

Loving it so far!

I spent a lot of time researching printers to find one with the features that I needed. I print for my home office and I do a lot of creative printing using card stock and different paper types. An Officeworks representative recommended this printer to me (inkjet, rear loading for different paper types, excellent print quality). The printer was easy to set up using my Mac, and so far everything I have printed has been perfect. I'm so happy with this, and I'll have my fingers crossed that I'll be happy with this in the long term too.

Poor printer
13 May 2020

Worked well for the for the first 6-8 months but then started having paper jams, would print part of the page and have the bottom sections cut off. Sometimes would take while to print even when connecting using a cable. So annoying..wasted so much paper printing due to the cut offs. Scanning s/w is also very minimal though it works well so no issues there. The bottom end of the paper tray which is a separate part needs to be taken off when loading or fixing the paper so I decided to not use that.Am glad I invested in getting the extra warranty from Officeworks which allowed me to get a full refund as I was unable to return it within the first 12 months thinking the issue would resolve after reinstalling the drivers, etc.

Prints OK but scanning is rubbish
14 September 2020

Officeworks promoted this to me. Took a little time to setup and certainly the first concern was how flimsy everything felt. But here I am trying to scan a multi-page document into a single pdf and there seems to be no possibility. It just scans one to one with no option to add additional pages. Half a day of searching for a utility or driver update and yes, sharpening the axe!

So SLOW!
29 November 2019

I just upgraded from a much less fancier model from a few years ago and it lags so bad. I'm writing this review while I am trying to print shipping labels for my business and it has started printing but paused and has been paused for a solid 2 mins already. It took me half an hour to print some postcards the other day. If you need a fast and reliable printer, don't bother :(

Useless and fragile printer

The first example I tried to use would not progress though the set up. Returned it to Officeworks and swapped it for another which did set up OK but would not connect as a scanner using USB or wireless. After a lengthy consultation with the Canon help line people it turned out that problem was most likely related to drivers, including the latest downloaded from Canon via link sent by the help line people, that did not work with recently updated WIN 10. Microsoft scanner software that comes with WIN 10 did allow the scanner to connect but it produced completely unusable scans. After printing 6 pages, the printer then also failed. I did not print and just kept providing the notification that the paper tray had to be removed and the paper sizer reset. I did not print and just kept providing the notification that the paper tray had to be removed and the paper sizer reset. The printer did not recognize when this was done. My last printer was a Canon that lasted many years. In comparison, this printer is made of flimsy plastic that flexes during normal operation. The complete failure of the two examples that I used indicates that there may be other problems. I returned my printer for a refund.

Usless printer

I had the canon mg7560 which just stopped working. I bought this usless printer thinking a step up was a good idea. Terrible printer that defaults to American letter size.

An absolute piece of garbage. Constant error codes. Want to print on a CD or DVD? Impossible unless you use a Canon designated theme. Totally counter-intuitive. Cheap. Flimsy. Absolute rubbish. Canon should not be allowed to manufacture this landfill in waiting.

If you like error codes galore, paper jamming and only using a printer 3 times before you decide to put it on the bonfire then this is the printer for you! Cheap and unusable. I've had Canon printers for years and they've all lasted 2-3 years, not this one. Barely functioned from the start. I accept the planned obsolescence of modern technology, but this is ridiculous.
