I bought this for travel and landscapes and it has met my needs. This lens is sharp, light and compact. I wish this came with a lens hood but for the price it's affordable. It's worth the money.

I've always been leary of variable aperture lenses but the price was too good to pass up. I gave it a try and I was really impressed. Light, compact and image quality is really good. My only negative is that the lens has no AF/MF switch. You have to change that through the menu within the camera menu.
This is a great lens for photographing houses handheld - The IS works down to a 1/4 second exposure if you're using good technique.
It gives me the extra wide angle I needed. I take pictures and videos of model toy trains and wanted a perspective that was right on the layout. Good pictures, nice depth of field. See my YouTube Page Herbert W Koch
I selected this lens to use on my eos rp. I love Canon L lenses but can't afford them. While this is clearly not built like an L lens I find it difficult to tell the difference in my photos. I'm a very happy camper.
I shoot mainly product and vehicles, so this lens is put in service mainly for interior work, where confines are tight. I generally use this lens between 20mm and 28mm, which provides a field of view that covers the width of a car interior. At these lengths, the distortion, once corrected in Lightroom is minimal. Since most of my work is static, and I generally do not need a lot of bokeh (or don't want it), I am shooting in the f/8-16 range from fixed camera positions, at 100 ASA, with extended exposure times, so the f/4.5-6.3 limitation of this lens is not an issue. I do plan on picking up a primary 24mm lens with Macro to take on close up and wide angle work where controlling depth of field is a factor for products and close space detail shots, so I have no need ... MoreI shoot mainly product and vehicles, so this lens is put in service mainly for interior work, where confines are tight. While the 15mm end of this lens does present some distortion, Lightroom does a good job working that out, and as noted, I rarely push things that wide. This is a great lens for walking around, and works as a companion to my 24-240 lens, which, when put together, gives me what I need for a very wide range of purposes.
Super light and surprisingly sharp pair this with an EOS RP and you have an amazing value landscape kit!
I've been looking for a lightweight ultrawide lens for backpacking to replace my adapted EF 16-35 f/4 IS and I think I've found it. This lens is somehow sharper in the corners at f/8 than the RF 15-35 f/2.8. Central contrast and detail is definitely not as good as that $2300 lens, but you need to zoom in to 200% to notice; at 100% it's VERY subtle. There's some heavy vignetting wide open, but I'm looking for a landscape lens that I'll use stopped down between f/8 & f/11 and this performs amaaaazingly within those parameters.
