And you have full creative control (is not an "instant" printer: you can choose what to print, both via cable, wifi or airprint).

The most common photo printers are inkjets, however, there are problems with the need to install different colour cartridges and the cost involved.The Canon RP108 printer pack contains the 108 sheets of 6 x 4 inch papers and the correct number of ribbon cartridges. In use each printed photo makes 4 passes in the printer to lay down yellow, magenta and cyan colours followed by a protective coating. The photos come out dry, finger and liquid stain protected. Dye sub photos are sharp and colourful and I have noticed more fine detail than ink jet prints. The Selphy printers are compact and very simple to load and use.The RP108 fits many Selphy models and will provide truly first class results.

I've purchased and used this product fairly regularly with great results until the last year or so. The product quality and reliability has deteriorated considerably. I wish that Canon would review the manufacturing process and get the quality back up to par. If there was an alternative option available I would certainly give it a try. I use this in the operation of my small business and I need it to be consistent and reliable.
