That doesn't last long.I suggest buying the 108 print package of paper and ribbons. It works out to about 35 cents a print, which is competitive with sending out for prints. But you don't have to wait for them to come back, or send batches to save on shipping. You can get one high quality print, or many, very quickly. It's better than an inkjet printer too, because you'll never have a low ink level, or a clogged ink jet nozzle mess up your day.

Good little in house printer for those postcard prints.

Purchased almost a year ago. I set it up to use over home wi-fi network. Have not tried the direct wireless connection. Prints from phones and computer once your devices have identified and received the driver info from it and then your devices will have it as a print destination when it comes time to print. The printer itself takes 30-60 seconds to start printing after it receives the signal and spooling from an iPhone can choke things up, so don't select a whole bunch of photos all at once and think this little printer is going to crank em all out without locking up. Use some patience and select 1-4 at a time and consider using a computer to print from, as Ive found it to be easier to control the print process with less freezing. Usually one print takes about a minute. Protective coating is really nice. Get about 20-25 prints from ink cartridge. It was well worth the small amount ($150) for printer and 3 ink/paper I paid to have this type of in-house photo printing. Provides convenient paper photo sharing or displaying. Large prints? I leave those to the professionals.

Great little printer, lots of fun
17 December 2023

First used a Canon Selphy CP1500 as a guest at a wedding. Great idea for guests to print out their special memory of the night, to keep or give to the couple. Decided to purchase a Selphy to take away on holidays with extended family. Everyone loved it! So many great photos immediately printed out - no need to worry about getting them printed in-store - we know how valuable time is. Great quality prints and lots of fun. Purchased at Harvey Norman at impressive price and with cashback offer, even more reasonable. Paper and cartridges come in a pack to purchase separately. I purchased a 108 postcard sized sheet pack that has two ink cartridges included. The value of convenience is approximately 40c a photo.

Great printer, with WiFi steering problem
27 November 2023

Great printer! Small WiFi issue: mine would not consistently show up in AirPrint when connected to a network that used the same SSID (network name) for both 2.4 and 5.0 GHz. So if you are having connection problems, try connecting it to a 2.4 GHz guest network, or separate your 2.4 and 5.0 GHz bands with two different SSIDs. While not ideal - Canon should really just fix the problem - this is a common fix for any home with many IoT devices that have trouble understanding modern networks.Image quality is good, with a little banding in blue skies on occasion. You can’t beat the cost of the refills. Portability is also a plus.

Happy with my Selphy CP1500 Canon photo printer.
30 December 2023

Took a little figuring out how to set it up with my several products, but I really like my Selphy CP1500 Canon photo printer. It prints excellent photos. I also ordered an additional compact card size cassette PCC_CP400. I haven't used it yet, but I wanted to have the option of printing photos smaller than the larger 4X6. The 4x6 Cassette comes with the Selphy CP1500. Only a small amount of ink comes with the machine, along with several photo papers. I purchased Canon RP-108 High Capacity color Ink/Paper Set with the machine. I have only had time to print a few photos, but I look forward to using the printer much more. I am really happy with photo quality.

Improved, SELPHY, but needs better driver software!
16 July 2023

SELPHY printers are capable of producing very high quality 148mm X100mm (5.83 inch X 3.93 inch) dye-transfer prints. This CP1500 is slightly (about 10%) faster than my previous CP-1200 and CP-1300 versions as well as having a smaller footprint. It also FINALLY cures a long standing Canon SELPHY issue by not wasting a set of dye films every time the printer is powered up. If you just print a few prints at a time this can dramatically reduce the amount of dye-film being wasted.I drive the CP-1500 via a USB connection from an iMac. It would be nice if Canon provided access to the full print capability that's in the printer in a more complete Mac driver. C'mon Canon, it's time for a driver software update! Lightweight and compact. This is a wonderful printer for getting those great shots out on paper. The power button does not always work. I’ve had pressed down on it several times and the machine is new, I’ve only used it once. It doesn’t hook up to the computer; however, you can take an SD card from the computer to the printer. The only problem with this is that the pictures are so tiny. You can’t do much with them. So you would have to do all of your editing first then save it to an SD card then move the SD card over to the printer. it does work with your phone pictures from your phone through Bluetooth, but I couldn’t get it to work with the computer. Purchased this to do some on-the-go prints. For that, it's been handy. The two issues I have:1) the colors. There is no ICC profile, so you need to run some test prints. What I've noticed so far is the prints are cooler and more green in tint than what I'm seeing in Lightroom. My monitor is calibrated and everything looks great on there, but be aware colors in LR will not look the same as in print.2) sizing for print is a bit of a hassle to setup. In LR I've selected postcard borderless and zoom to fill. Great, but the prints then look similar to what you'd get from a Walgreens. I added some margin to give a little more drama to the print, but be careful as the margins must be different for left and right vs top and bottom; at least for me. Surprisingly good
17 June 2024

Pleasantly surprised by how good the prints look. The image quality is significantly better than the 4x6 dye sub prints I've gotten from places like CVS and Walgreens, despite the fact that they use multi-thousand-dollar professional dye sub printers. Furthermore, CVS and Walgreens have raised their print prices, which are now higher than prints made with the Canon printer. Needless to say, I'll never be getting 4x6 prints from those places again. My only complaint about the Canon is that there is a very faint line that runs down the center of each print. It's barely visible, and sometimes it's completely invisible depending on the ambient lighting and the viewing distance. The vast majority of people won't see it unless they're actively looking for it. Even with ... MorePleasantly surprised by how good the prints look. Even with the line, the overall image quality is so much better than professional dye sub prints from the drugstore. As always, kudos to B&H for great service, great prices, and lightning-fast shipping!
