I had the older version of the SELPHY and it definitely does what it advertises. The quality of the prints are great. My biggest issue with the printer is the ink. Supposedly, the ink roll should last for the amount of prints are included in the refill back, but if you go for some time between printing sessions, the ink will dry out and you will be left with a stack of unused photo paper. If you have the need to regularly print out photos from your phone this might be useful for you, but if you're like me, who (thanks pandemic) went months between photo printing, then this might not be what you need.

I’ve had this photo printer for a while now and it’s still a very useful product. Recently we used it to celebrate my eldest child’s birthday by printing out a timeline of pictures through the past 6 yrs, from newborn to right before his birthday with a picture representing each year. It turned out great and made for a great stroll down memory lane for all our loved ones. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is at times it’s a hassle to figure out the best margins to print your ideal picture but to be expected with its compact size, which we chose for storage purposes. Which the size ultimately is great to easily store. I would still suggest it to others and the price is reasonable as well.

The products perfomance right out of the box is pretty easy if you use smart card direct into the printer ,or if you use the smart app for you phone, or if you a wifi enabled camera. This must be a good printer as I have chosen to buy it 3 times! When there is a serious jam, and Cannon online or by phone cannot be of help, I keep buying the same model. The first printer lasted 5 years, which was worthwhile to me. But the second was only 2 years old, which makes it pretty expensive. Repair is either not offered or more expensive than a new printer. Printer #3 better last awhile or this one is my last. The ink cartridge system is not environmentally friendly, which is an issue with many printers, but that needs to change. For now, this Selphy 900 with its good quality photos, is my photo printer of choice.
It's a Selphy. Sometimes they work, sometimes not. This one works,. Score!
I was really hoping it would work, but it did not, even when I replaced the print cartridge and paper. I knew it might not work, but when mine died I had a lot of paper and print cartridges and was hoping to use them. I knew when I purchase it was not returnable. I learned my lesson.
I hesitated at first because of all the online reviews about how difficult it was to use this with Windows 8 and 8.1. I bit the bullet, got it home and sure enough, problems....So, I went to Canon's web site, downloaded the correct.. or latest drivers and it works like a charm, with both my phone and my PC.If you have a quality image to begin with, you will certainly get a quality print. The tones of color are pretty accurate, as long as you don't have a hawk eye'd photographer picking them apart. They are much better than I expected!! I love this little printer!I bought two refills of paper and ink along with the printer, and blew through one pack pretty quickly, checking print quality of different quality images from my PC and phone.I went online to reorder ... MoreI hesitated at first because of all the online reviews about how difficult it was to use this with Windows 8 and 8.1. I reordered from my cart, so I got the same price as before, but I'm pretty disappointed with this price jump. That takes the print price each from .28 to .33. My lab is cheaper than that, plus they offer free shipping. So, 5 stars for the product, minus 2 stars for the price jump.
The Canon Selphy CP-910 offers a better print quality than most budget photo-printers while the 6 x 4 format is convenient if you want to print a photo and give it to someone or send as a postcard. Paper and cartridges work out at around 40p a print, probably too much for large numbers of prints but fine for this purpose. The main disadvantage of all but the most recent models, that the usb cable option is not compatible with the latest version of Windows 10 or Mac OS X, is not likely to be a problem as, these days, most users print wirelessly across the Selphy range. A very useful little printer with the option of an attractive travel case for 20 makes it a Best Buy.
