Loved the painting titles... made for some good story telling as we played. Played in the storm and a good distraction.

It's terrific and unique. At first the rules and scoring have a bit of a learning curve to them but once you pick it up that's not an issue. Cards themselves are beautiful and well made. Great for all types of board gamers

This layered card game is easy to set up. Your goal is to create works of art by layering your cards to create a painting. Each painting will have scoring iconography at the bottom of each card which can be superimposed on other cards within your painting. By design, the replayability is high due to the various combination of scoring criteria that change with each game. Some paintings are easy to score one game and the next, complicated and mind-boggling. One rant against the game is the tiny game box. We own the KS edition and it's tought to stuff everything back in. We own 3 copies. 2 are being shipped out for Christmas.

Beautiful game!
24 April 2023

Canvas is a GREAT family game. Easy gameplay, fun drafting, and beautiful theme make it a really easy game to get into. There are moments where a player might fall into Analysis Paralysis, but it doesnt stall the game (it is very short) and the more you play, the more you get used to the mechanics. The shining star of Canvas is its artwork and design. The card combinations, more often than not, end up painting a pretty picture which is very attractive to non-hobbyists. Production value is very high quality, even in the retail edition.Overall, better at player counts higher than two, but still a super enjoyable duel.Canvas is a nice short puzzle that provides a very satisfying and rewarding time.

Beautiful game, really hard to play competitively as we end up making the nicest painting rather than the highest scoring!

Canvas is a beautiful family-level game about painting. It's the first game to use transparent cards in a clever way that doesn't feel like a gimmick.

Neat, Puzzle-y Card Crafting Game
1 December 2022

Canvas has only hit the table once, but everyone enjoyed the puzzle of crafting the cards and trying to find the best possible combo of three cards. The 5 card limit creates some tension in that you can't just hold out forever. It's a make the best of what you've got game that is very approachable.

Wonderful Little Puzzle-ish Game
4 May 2022

Canvas is a very beautiful little game about getting the right set of three pieces of art to create your masterpieces; and complete objectives along the way. It ends up being a bit of a puzzler, with you sussing out which pieces of art will complete your painting in the best possible way. Fully recommend.
