I recently started working at a "concept girl" restaurant where servers are required to wear tights under their shorts. Although there are tights sold in the break room, They aren't even remotely close to my complexion, so I am so excited that Capezio offers such a wide range of colors! I tried Mocha and Cinnamon and honestly, I found them quite similar, except Mocha is a yellow based brown and Cinnamon is a red based brown... I believe Mocha is closer to my natural color, but I enjoy the aesthetic of the "tan" Cinnamon offers, as it is most similar to the tights the other girls wear. The major difference I noticed is the texture. These are a soft, flat, matte stocking with no sheen- perfect for performance! I got these tights for my students to wear in performance. I have a very diverse group of dancers with a range of skin tones from pale to deep and everything in between. I was able to find a color to match each of them perfectly. It looked as natural as their natural skin, but still provided coverage. I wish Capezio would make these it footless or stirrups so that we wouldn't have the bulk around the ankles when dancing barefoot that comes with wearing convertible tights. The colors are great. There is even a yellow/neutral pale and a pinky/porcelain pale color to compliment variations of light skin tones and there are warm and cool toned shades of medium and dark colors. I was even able to match tones for two mixed ethnicity kids thanks to the various medium shades.
Love these tights!! My 2 daughters have worn these for a few years now, ever since they started dancing on pointe. They love the comfort of the self-knit waistband. The transition feature is a must for getting your toes ready for pointe shoes. These tights also hold up really well to washing (thrown them in a laundry bag for delicates!). These are our "go to" tights for ballet.
I've danced with various brands of tights for almost 10 years and these can't be beat. They're soft, stretchy (even enough for my 33" inseam!), durable, and hold up much longer than other pairs I've tried. The range of color choices is also great. I'm totally okay paying a little extra for Capezio tights bc I know I'll get my money's worth of use out of them. They're so good I'll even wear them out and about if I ever need tights outside of dance!
Super soft. Feel like your wearing nothing but still has a bit of a warm touch. Does not offer support or compression but that's not what these are for anyway so still 5/5.
When I first got these tights I was very suspicious because they looked teeny tiny, but they have so much stretch that they fit well. They don't go completely transparent in the thighs and they don't cut me off harshly where they land on my stomach. Definitely check the size chart though because I'm normally a large, XL in tights and I had to get the XXL in these. One con is that they aren't long enough for me to comfortably wear covering my feet and I'm 5'8" but that's okay for me most of the time. For reference I'm about 190 pounds with a 33" waist and 42" hips.
I own at least five different brands of tights, and these are hands-down my favorite. They're incredibly soft, very comfortable, and they stay put! The waist band is seamless and doesn't slip down or roll over on itself. The placement of the opening in the foot is a little further back from the toes than some other brands, which I prefer. The seams of the gusset are subtle and narrow enough to stay hidden. These tights are classic and perfect.
