Glad I decided to purchase this 2nd helmet kit. You don’t realize how useful it is until the morning when you decide in the last minute that you want to wear the other helmet. Maybe the more comfortable / road oriented helmet, instead of the more racing / aggressive helmet that you used the evening before the road trip, when you had a night ride with your friends.Or think about this way. Got a second helmet. Live both of my helmets. I did not want to spend another 300 plus dollars for another pack talk. So, this was the trick. Second helmet kit! Easily installed. Also sounds as good as my pack talk black!

Cardio Scala not loud enough with speakers

I bought this to use to listen to my phone and podcasts while riding the motorcycle. It was sold with the upgraded speakers for adequate sound. I could not hear my phone or podcasts well enough with the upgraded speakers to make it useable. I will have to switch to earphones or some other bone conduction sound transmission device to make this product useable while riding.

Easy to Install and Solid Parts

I picked up a used Cardo Packtalk (original before the Bold) but it was the device only not the rest of it. I kind of gambled but the description said it would work. The unit popped right into the mount and worked right away. The speakers are loud. Like riding at 60mph and hearing the music clearly, loud. Very impressed and will probably get another set once I get another helmet so I can pop the device over any time. I have no complaints at all, its very sturdy and decent wiring. I'll edit my review if any of it falls apart or breaks.

Expensive but less than a complete headset.

I have a few extra helmets and wanted to grab a couple of extra mounts so that I could swap the Packtalk unit from helmet to helmet without doing a complete install each time I wanted to use a different helmet.Though the cost of these kits are less than buying a complete headset it feels expensive for what it is. The speakers do not appear to be as large or provide the same sound quality as the speakers that came with the Packtalk headsets. They are okay but not as good.This does allow me to use the Packtalk unit on extra helmets but the speaker quality is not as good as the original speakers and it feels a bit spendy for a metal clamp, low quality speakers and a couple of microphones.

Purchased a PACKTALK Bold when it came out and recently acquired two new helmets. Wasn’t willing to remove and install the original setup every time I wanted to switch helmets. Cardo Scala Rider makes it a breeze to keep you connected and always ready to go. Install was easy- maybe 10/15 mins. Fit and finish are excellent. Just remove your Cardo Palktalk Bold from the housing on your main helmet and connect it to this audio kit and you are back in the game.

Great idea, but should be available with JBL speakers

Bought this handy device to easily move my PACKTALK from helmet to helmet. Great idea, but it should also be available with JBL speakers in case you don’t want the just OK speakers provided with the unit. My PACKTALK BOLD com came with JBL speakers - which spoiled me.You can order just the JBL speakers for $80, and then trash the stock speakers, what a hassle and waste.

Modern Problems Require Modern Solutions

Perfect for those currently with a Cardo device and just needing a mic, speakers and mount for a secondary helmet. Just unclick and swap the device to what helmet you choose for that day.The speakers are not JBL like what my BOLD came with but honestly i can’t tell a difference.***Don’t spend $2-300 for another device for yourself. Go with this kit***

Not JBL speakers!

I really like the PackTalk unit and purchased this to go into a second helmet which is becoming my primary helmet. Cardo started using JBL speakers for better sound and my other set had those JBL speakers. This set is the old style speakers and had a bit of a "crackle" to them. I switched the old speakers with this new set.

They definitely sound better.

As the title says, these are a definite upgrade from the stock speakers. They produce more bass, provide a bit more clarity at higher volumes, and seem to be considerably louder than the stock ones.The "enhanced" sound settings are kind of a gimmick. There is "standard", "bass boost", and 'vocal boost". I was hoping for an actual equalizer to customize the settings.Overall, I am glad that I bought them, but I don't feel as if they are worth the $80.
