About 5 years ago I discovered Carhartt clothing - outdoor work pants and long sleeve shirts. I am impressed with quality and durability. I'm a retired 'office worker' living on a small farm. Carhartt is perfect. I've been hoping to buy a winter coat. We found the Carhartt store in Keizer Station - near Salem, Oregon. Easily the worst jacket ever ! Purchased this about a year ago and nothing stays in the pockets. If you aren't using the breast or inside pockets anything you have will be lost. This coat has easily cost me well over $1000 in items lost from not staying in the pocket. Phones, money, wallets, keys etc. This item alone has been a major factor as to why I gave up on carhartt items. Unfortunately after a life time of wearing carhart I will no longer purchase their items again due to this product and what I've lost over time. Quality/feel is not bad but something about how the pockets are made will cost you more in the long run. If you work or do a lot of movement this isn't for you.

I have heavy Carhartt parka for bitterly cold weather and i was looking for something that would be comfortable in near freezing temps and breezy days. The knit cuffs block wind from crawling up the sleeves and there are two drawstrings to snug the bottom hem to your hips, which makes this an ideal jacket for watching a fall football game. I like having the two inner pockets, and the hood lays pretty flat, which is nice while driving. The overall styling is typical Carhartt. Never fussy and always functional. Sizing is true, and Tractor Supply shipped my jacket well within the timeframe stated. I am more pleased with this jacket than I thought I would be. i definitely can recommend buying this.

I work construction outdoors and door everything from welding to climbing 100' ladders and this coat has never felt constricting or uncomfortable in any way. The only thing I don't like about this coat is the weather rating of 2, not because it doesn't keep me warm but because it DOES! I'm 6'2", 220# and was worried that a Large - Tall was going to be too large or too tall. It fits almost perfectly. Sleeves - OMG, this could be the first coat I have with sleeves that don't pull up when I stretch my arms out in ANY direction! The coat length of the Tall is perfect. This jacket is also stylish and can be dressed casual and a little dressed up for a sales job per-say. I work as a sales specialist and I usually wear khaki's and a polo shirt and it looks great. It is very versatile and has many pockets for pretty much anything you need. It synches in the hood and the bottom of the jacket for the waits. Medium fits well on a build for a person that is 160 lb and fit people. If I was over 180 lb I would say go for a large, because of the arm length. I wanted something weather resistant but also stylish enough to wear to informal and even semi-formal events. love this jacket. never had any intent to purchase a new jacket, but wife wanted one so i figured i'd grab one. love the look of the jacket. but the quality and warmth was pleasantly surprising. the fabric is tough and extremely wind resistant, but flexible and soft. i felt one at basspro and it was super stiff, not sure why the difference. i originally got a large, and it fit perfect as a fitted jacket. sleeves were good but waste was just below belt, felt weird being that high and it was akward to put hands in pockets. so i got large tall, much better. sleeves are a hair long, but perfectly fine, but waste is much better, and pocket placement is good. i wore it in low 50s for couple hrs with just a tshirt under and was perfectly warm. wore in low 40s also with ...
