I purchased the LEGACY standard back pack three years ago with a gift card at a local retailer after being let down by other backpacks. The first thing I noticed was the quality and durability compared to to other packs, and I liked how the pockets were placed and how much space it had for just a standard pack. BLUF: buy this hat.I’ve been rocking these toques for almost 2 decades now. In that time I’ve put 4 of them through the wringer and they take everything you throw at them. They have kept my head toasty while out on construction sites, hiking, and shoveling snow. They pair nicely with a flannel, a well oiled beard, and a DDH IPA at your favorite local brewery. Carhartt brand gear has recently been adopted by hipsters but all that has done is increased the variety styles and colors offered by Carhartt. Honestly, these hats are worth their weight in gold and are a steal at their MSRP. Do yourself a favor and purchase one for yourself, your family, your friends, and even a neighbor. They will all thank you.

I’ve been a longtime shopper of Carhartt and have gone through several of their knit beanies. But as fast as I buy them I lose them, so I’m always needing to buy new it seems. I’m so disappointed in the latest iterations of this classic item! Has anyone else notice the weird new fit? There is so much excess fabric that sticks up off my head even when I pull the hat down just above my eyes! This never happened before, the fit used to be absolutely perfect! Has anyone from Carhartt acknowledged the switch? I know I’m not the only one who has noticed and is disappointed. Im hoping some plan is in the works to bring the old fit back, even as a separate item in addition to this new, more “trendy” style. Would love to hear from someone at Carhartt!!

I've been wearing less on my morning runs for the last month. Temperature outside has been between freezing and 12°f.Pros & Cons:-Comfort: put it on when I first got it. It was a little itchy. That was my fault though. Always wash stuff like this before you put it on. Other than that, super comfortable.Stretchy enough to always have a snug fit in flexible enough to go over balaclavas, gaters, and ball caps.-Warmth: super warm. I was shocked by how warm this thing is. When it gets in the 30s I don't even bother wearing it. But anything below 30 it keeps me nice and toasty without getting too sweaty.-Design: It's a classic knit camp. I purchase the brite lime. We bought this for our Granddaughter for Christmas. She had told us that she wanted one. So I just happen to come across this website.Love the color yellow. It's a soft tone. The quality is good as well. Fast delivery too. Packaged well. There website is easy to use. Definitely be doing business again, with Moosejaw in the near future for sure.
I try to be fair with products I review, but honestly, I think this product deserves no reservations on my end. This backpack failed to meet all aspects of Quality Assurance. Let’s go down the list.The material is poor quality and cheap compared to their jackets. I would be okay with that if they didn’t make it so apparent. The mesh is visibly loose, and, while I didn’t test it, is probably not anywhere near water resistant. It is nowhere close to the carhartt products I’m familiar with.The zippers are an embarrassment. I used the zipper for the laptop compartment thrice before it sheared off. The metal was separating from itself. This being from gentle zipping on my end.The stitching is weak, and only single layered. The hats are one size fits all but they are large roomy hats, and worse, they are inconsistent.I bought the orange one first and it was a little bit larger than what I would have liked. I like my hats to fit snug on my bald head, with no extra material 'flopping' around on top my head making me look like a cone head. Other than that, the hat was great (the orange one) and I really like it. I simply fold the bottom up a little more and pull it down in the back to get a more snug fit.So then I ordered the black one a few days later. The black one is a good 3 to 4 inches taller than the orange which makes a huge difference. The sewn on patch in the front is placed unevenly with the top seams, so if you were to wear it correctly with the seams inline with your head the patch is off center. Kinda sloppy. It's not made in the USA so it helps keep the price down and the CCP in business. There's already some pilling around the fold and I've only been wearing it for this one winter so far. My biggest complaint is that it's really not that warm. Not even close to wind proof so any breeze blows right through the material, even with it folded up over my ears. It's no better than any Walmart brand hat for a 1/3 the price. This, in short, is a cheap hat with a Carhartt patch to validate your hipster card. This hat is long enough to keep your head and ears warm. I bought 3 orange hats to have options. This is my least favorite of the three. It is a usuefull hat for chilly weather, but the Carhartt 2 in 1 hat is better for out in the woods. The Ariat knit has is similar to this but warmer and better. The Ariat has thinsulate insulation added and is much warmer than this one. The Arial also blocks the wind better. This one is OK in the very cold if you put a hood up over it and then the orange color is mostly hidden which defeats the purpose.
This is not my first Carhartt Knit Cuffed Beanie. From the moment I opened the package...."whaaaat?". I put it on making the cuff at least 6-7 inches and there was still about 3 inches rising above my head. I measured it against a couple of other Carhartt beanies and it was MUCH longer. Who inspects these? Why would Carhartt continue to sell lka defective product? Let the manufacturer take the hit and not Carhartt. Someone was not following the pattern.
