As a dedicated Carhartt overall wearer, these leave a lot to be desired. I have worn R07 for many years. These are a poor substitute for R07. First as someone who works outside, these are hot in the summer. The heavier weight of the fabric and added weight of the bib make them very hot. I thought they might be better in cold weather. Today was the first cold snap in which I needed my insulated bib over my regular ones. The heavier weight of these make it very difficult to put insulated bibs over them. As I said, I work outside and all I wear are Carhartt - regular bibs every day, insulated bibs over regular bibs all day every day in cold weather. The style of these i different than the R07. The loose fit is not an issue as I am a bigger guy and like the loose fit. ... MoreAs a dedicated Carhartt overall wearer, these leave a lot to be desired. I have worn R07 for many years. As stated earlier, I have worn Carhartt for many years. I have purchased 2 pair of the new style and would send them back if I could, I am presently looking for a brand to replace Carhartt.

I looked in every local stores to find a good ol' jeans overall but all I could find were jeans overalls made out of ridiculously thin fabric. Moreover, I needed a 32/34 and the only local store who was carrying the Carhartt didn't carry this size (I have problems finding this size). I was desperate to have a good one as a Christmas gift for my husband. I searched one more time online and moosejaw.com showed up in the search for this Carhartt! Couldn't believe my eyes when I got on the site and sure enough it was available. Even more when I saw that even though we were just few days from Christmas they were promising I could have it right before Christmas! And sure enough I placed my order on Saturday 17th late evening, my order was shipped on Monday 19th and I ... Right on time for Christmas! :) Very well packaged with little notes that will surely make you smile! This jeans overall is impeccable and very well made like they used to be and like they should be! So far Carhartt never disappoints, always quality, style and all sizes. Husband was very pleased with his gift! I highly recommend both the overalls and moosejaw.

Fits good and is a decent overall. I prefer the hammer loop on the left and pocket on the right like my older pairs of bibs and these are reversed. I'd still recommend them, a pair of Levi's jeans will cost you about the same and you get so much more with bibs if you're doing any kind of work. If you're willing to spend $20 more, the Rugged Flex Bibs I find to be even more comfortable and fitted. They have tool pockets on both legs which I use. The fifth star is reserved for durability and longevity, which I cannot assess yet.

Good construction, with some strange idiosyncrasies: 1) the clasps on the straps are downright annoying. I defy anyone to manage them in the dark, or with cold hands, or if they're not looking directly at them. 2) these overalls are HUGE!!!! I ordered a 28" waist and 32" inseam. What I got was at least 35" around the waist.Yes, I checked the label. Yes, they are supposed to be 28/32.Naturally, I washed and dried them in hot water and a hot dryer, twice, in a vain attempt to make them fit. It didn't work.I now have GIGANTIC overalls I cannot use. Donation bin it is for the overalls, and back to the drawing board for me? meh..!!
Horrible. I love carhartt, and in the past I have had full confidence in the quality of their product. However, I had these overalls for two days and on the second day the fabric seem that attaches the metal fastener broke. Perhaps with the current hipster fad of wearing carhartt has allowed the quality control severely drop and now they are not the product that the blue collar folk have come to rely on for so many years. It may be time to look for reliable brands.
I used to buy nothing but Carhart overalls, they ruined a classic design when they moved production to India, the clasp straps are not the same, the buttons are not the same, they don't fit the same, the bib pocket changed and I have to fool with a zipper. Have not bought any since. Carhart completely lost the idea behind, "if it ain't broke don't fix it." Were they to go back to what they used to make I would go back to them. Bet you lost sales when you got away from the ones pictured.
46x30 overalls, my weight 215 with a little beer belly, and the overalls give you the space, you need. so they are still loose even when sitting down, they are loose around my belly, so i can breath an feel freely. with carhartt length- i just bought about 25 pair of different Carhartt pants from stores online and some are 32 length an other 30 length tho all of them fit great. ( why so many pants because i gain weight an needed to get new pants, and made a choice to buy all Carhartt pants) Now back to overalls length, the 30 are a little long, i look like a skate board kid(man) even tho im close to 60 but also not to long, with my tennis shoes they are ok. hopefully they dont shrink to much in length when i wash them but just a little. thanks Carhartt for fast ... Quality garment. Love the bib pockets layout. Miss my old belt loop for hanging my work keys-hammer loop already in use-maybe add one, or even all for those who prefer a cinched in waist. Closures on shoulder straps are a bit small tricky to use, and sharp edges on them inconsistent with otherwise "broken-in feel" of garment. Waist buttonholes a bit tight, but figure they'll loosen up with use. An extra layer of denim at the knees, or a tough coating?, would prolong the life of them for me.
Do not like these bibs. They changed the fit, material, pocket and the legs are the worst part. The material is heavy and clunky compared to the old stylen and the new legs are tapeed way too much for a bib overall in my opinion. I also loved the old bib pockets.Didnt like the new style pocke on my insulated bibs when it came out, but had hope they would change back. Please bring the original back. I will be going to purchase some Dickies brand as they are the closest I can find.
I was hesitant to buy denim overalls because I didnt want to look like a farmer but these overalls are stylish enough for city life. Kind of remind me of the 80's when people used to wear overalls with one of the straps hanging down. I have many different Carhartt overalls. Compared to the 4 other Carhartt colors of duckbill overalls I have, these are very long. I'm 5,7", 200lb and I ordered 36wx32L, but they look more like 36wx36L. I don't mind that because I'm sure they are going to shrink like my duckbill overalls did. The fit at the top is great. Loose fitting and very comfortable. I would buy them again. Although, I wouldn't wear them for working - they are definitely not as tough as the duckbills, but for a casual day of hanging out or very light work, they ...
