Hi, woman here. Haven't tested durability, but they're in the top 5 best fitting pairs of pants I've ever owned. (That's a great feat, if you don't know.) If you're buying without trying them on, SIZE UP. I'm normally a 26-27 inch waist, but of course men's pants only go as low as a 28. So I went into my local workwear store to find some pants, and the only pair in these went down to, you guessed it, a 28. I was skeptical but decided to try them on. They're almost *perfect*. Fit way better than the "women's pants" they had in the store, and has a *very* minimal waist gap. Would definitely recommend for the comfort and fit, and honestly- they're pretty flattering too. Added bonus. The best thing about them? Actual DEEP pockets. + a bonus tool pocket. Here's to hoping ... MoreHi, woman here. Carhartt has been my go to pant company for years, but now I don't know what to do. 34" length of pants made in Mexico were consistent in length and suited my outdoor purpose; however, now I want slightly different more general use style and I've recently ordered two pair. First was model BN0324-M made in Nicaragua, size 34 x 32, and second was model BN2291-M made in Bangladesh, again in size 34 x 32. The second pair is just under 1-INCH SHORTER in length. That is measuring from the top of the belt loops to the bottom of the cuff. I don't know how Carhartt measures length, but what length matters for me is where I wear the pants: the belt loops to the bottom of the cuff. There is an inch difference in the pants I've recently purchased. I've worn these pants cutting wood, got them covered in black dirt gardening, and mostly as a casual pants in an office setting. I don't like khakis but these look just dress enough for me wear to work at my day job in dress casual setting. So I've worn these for a number of years, and I don't have to be afraid of having to change my pants when I come home and do something dirty in them. Outside of grease (Which with dish-soap pre-treat and couple washes, still not bad even then.), I've never really had them stain on me. They will shrink as with most pants if you do not follow the low tumble dry instructions, but only had one pair I've accidentally done that too. The shrunken pair is my fault I put it in on a hi-heat load with heavy sweat shirts had forgotten they were in there, but still wear em they are just a bit tight. Only major con really is the fading. The dark colors seem to fade fast, light colors of course not as much.

I got these pants when I started a new job preforming simple maintenance jobs. I don’t do anything too crazy at work (such as construction) so I was very disappointed when these pants developed multiple rips after only 3 months. The knee ripped first and continues to get larger. The side pocket, where I keep a Gerber multi-tool, has torn through. The pocket I keep my car keys in is beginning to tear through, same with the back pocket I keep my work keys in. Very disappointed with the lack of strength of these pants. The pants are almost entirely cotton, so if you get them wet you’re going to stay wet for awhile. This also makes them pretty warm on hot days. Which for their lack of durability isn’t a worth while trade off to me.These pants seem to be more for light ... MoreI got these pants when I started a new job preforming simple maintenance jobs. Love these. The gravel and dark khaki fit great. The peat fits a little more snug. Maybe it was just my order. I would have guessed the peat color was made in a different country, but all 3 were made in the same country. As another review said, the fit can be inconsistent based on where they are made. I've even found that the these fit different even if they are made in the same country. Some fit great, some run a little larger, some a little more snug. Regardless of that, I still love them for the winter.Side note, the Rugged Flex® Relaxed Fit Canvas Flannel-Lined Utility Work Pant need additional colors that are available in the Rugged Flex® Relaxed Fit Canvas Work Pant (Black, Navy, Tan/Light Khaki).
These are nice pants and fit me correctly, but not what I was expecting. The material is very thin. I had a couple pairs of Katadin Iron Work Canvas Pants that are completely worn out and was looking for a replacement for outdoor work. The Katadin were a thick, heavy-duty canvas pant with reinforced canvas in the knees and thighs. They were truly "heavy duty" and truly "work pants". Based on the description of these Carhartt pants, I was expecting something similar. If I was looking for something for the office, I would rate the Carhartt a 5-star, but I was looking for heavy-duty, rugged, work pants, and none of those adjectives fit these pants. I'm sure I will find some use for the Carhartt, and it's not worth my time to replace them. Bring back the Full swing Cryder 2.0 dungaree fleece lined. I bought a pair back in 2019 and they are the warmest most comfortable pants I've purchased from Carhart.I bought the Rugged Flex Fit Flannel lined after reading the material was more like fleece than flannel, and thinking it was the Cryder Dungaree with new name.Wrong! It's similar but the lining is not as thick as the Cryder. As another review stated, I ordered 32 lengths, and it was about 2" longer. Just can't understand such discrepancies in measurements. Waist was just a tad loose even though I ordered same size as always. Can't understand doing away with the Full swing Cryder 2.0 Fleece lined pants. Stupid!
I bought these because I loved the same pants I purchased a couple years ago. I was disappointed because there seem to be some shortcuts that will likely impact quality down the road. First, to me the fit is the same. They always feel tight on me at first but loosen up as I wear them. To that end, they seem to fit the same as the others I have. Second, material seems the same thankfully.Issues: They changed the stitching down the outside of the pant leg. They inverted it to use fewer rows of stitches which I think looks bad/could impact durability (only time will tell but I preferred the prior look). The pockets are now sewn so that when I put my hand inside the pocket, it's a rougher material/design that harshly rubs the back of my hand. The pockets are now sewn so that when I put my hand inside the pocket, it's a rougher material/design that harshly rubs the back of my hand. It's a different design than before. The stitched seem inside the pocket is thicker which matters because now there is an obvious pocket shaped line that can be seen through the pants and will likely wear faster. Belt loops are thinner too.
I don't know how they've made these pants so soft and comfortable yet so durable. Most comfortable pants I own. I stomp through briars and thickets regularly, no tears or rips. I work in the water treatment industry and handle 12.5% sodium hypochlorite daily. This is bleach, about twice as potent as Clorox and slightly stronger than pool shock. I have four pairs of carhartt canvas pants that I've been wearing for about a year, and no bleach spots on any of them even though they've all been splashed several times. I just hose them off while the bleach is still wet. Regular denim jeans literally melt under such abuse. The pair I'm wearing right now have a light grease stain from wiping some off my hand, and a tiny tear near the left ankle from a Husqvarna 455 rancher. ... MoreI don't know how they've made these pants so soft and comfortable yet so durable. That's it, after about a year's worth of heavy use. And they're my most buttered pair. I balked at the price a little when I first got them because I normally buy work clothes at thrift stores. Who wants a $50 pair of pants you're just gonna trash when you can trash a pair that only cost $5, right? Work jeans usually last a month for me. Well, I've yet to damage these enough to need to retire them, and I don't see it happening any time soon.
Some of the most comfortable pants I've ever owned. It's a short person's world. I'm 6' 6". Carhartt is one of the few companies that understands that making pants for tall people requires more than a long inseam. Generally, tall people are larger everywhere. My hands are bigger than average. I wear a size 14 shoe. Hence, I need a long rise with a longer zipper, deeper pockets, and pant openings that fit over boots. These pants do run small in the waist and long in length. Order a waist size 2" larger than normal and an inseam 2" shorter than normal. These pants also come in an unlined version and Carhartt makes an Upland Field Pant that is cut the same and runs the same on size. The caveat is that the field pants are just that. Don't expect them to turn back ... MoreSome of the most comfortable pants I've ever owned. It's a short person's world. I'm 6' 6".
