Durable stretch with rugged flex technology for greater freedom of movement Sits slightly below the waist and slender fit on buttocks and thighs 99% Cotton, 1% Elastane Machine Wash Straight Regular Several utensil pockets and strap on left leg Stronger sewn-on belt loops and reinforced back lined pockets Straight leg opening and extended back length for better coverage 'I believe that when a man wears an article that I manufacture, his self-respect is increased because he knows that it is made by an honest manufacturer, who is honest with his employees.' That's what Hamilton Carhartt, the brand's founder, said about his products over 100 years ago. The message is just as topical today and is taken just as seriously as it was then. Since 1889, Carhartt Workwear has stood for extremely hard-wearing workwear that is always comfortable. In terms of design, Carhartt always remains one thing: classic American with a traditional, timeless chic. This means that Carhartt Workwear is also worn away from construction sites and workshops. Wherever you wear Carhartt, you can be sure that the promise of the former founder still holds true today. Outworking them all since 1889.

Good pants

Good pants, nice quality, fit is accurate. Reasonably heavy material should hold up well to heavy yard work. Customer service told me to expect up to 3% shrinkage. Washed and dried them on medium settings. NO shrinkage observed. After 3 wash cycles on hottest water setting and hottest dryer setting the length lost maybe one inch, the waist shrank 1/4 inch, at most. Pockets are big and deep and look like they will hold up to abuse.

Good pants have now been improved.

Years ago I had a pair of these and they weren't my favorite pair of Carhartts. The were a little stiff and heavy compared to the twill-type pair I had. But I really liked the dungaree fit...a higher waist than normal casual pants like jeans...which I find more comfortable, especially as I'm a lean dude (6'1", 170#) and when I wear a tool belt, these pants resist getting pulled down because of the way they fit.I tried these because they are one of the few Carhartts that seem to be available in straight cut (see above re: being lean...more relaxed cuts can look baggy on me) and I figured I'd see if the stretch fabric helped with the stiffness.I've had these a couple weeks and they are great. I still like that dungaree fit and the straight cut is comfortable without being baggy. My main prior complaint...the stiffness and heaviness of the duck fabric...is addressed by the current material which still feels tough and durable, but seems a little lighter and definitely more comfortable because of the stretch.

Good pants. Bough a few pairs. Would recommend.

I recently "graduated" up a waist size for the first time in about 20 years, so I finally bit the bullet and upgraded my Carhartt pants. These pants have more tapered fit than the original Carhartt duck work pants that I've had for years, and I like this new fitment a lot. With the exception of the hammer loop and thigh pocket, they can easily pass for regular pants. Don't worry, it is nowhere near "skinny" jeans tight, just slightly more fitted than the old relaxed fit of my older duck pants and they do not restrict movement at all. I just ordered a couple more pairs of these. Wish they had them in grey too. I'm a weekend DIY'er with some acreage to maintain, and these have become my standard weekend pants - traditional Carhartt toughness in a more modern fit. ... MoreI recently "graduated" up a waist size for the first time in about 20 years, so I finally bit the bullet and upgraded my Carhartt pants. Good, rugged pants.

Love the sturdiness of the fabric and the cut of the pants. Definitely need a few runs through a washing machine or something to fix the stiffness, though, because I literally cut my hand on the seam inside my pocket the first time I stuck it in there (and I'm elderly or thin-skinned).I didn't notice the loop on the back when I bought them, and I don't love that design choice, because it kind of knocks them out of the dress category of "business informal" that I might otherwise try to squeeze them into from time to time, but they're good pants.I bought three pairs (three different styles of Carhartt pants) in the same size. Great fit, feel, and look

Great pants. Heavy duty material with lots of stitching reinforcement. Very comfortable with plenty of flexibility without compromising on durability. I have a slimmer frame and these pants fit just to my liking. I prefer a slimmer fitting pant and these are just what I was looking for. Slightly tighter through the thigh than the relaxed fit but not much. The real difference is below the knee they are much slimmer than the relaxed fit. These fit perfectly over my lace up thorogoods. If wearing slip on boots the leg might be slightly snug on the shaft of the boots and may look a little funny but would still fit over them. Overall very pleased with the pants and the fit. Great, slim(ish) fit

Although ive only been running these for a couple weeks but very pleased with these pants, particularly the fit. Its nice not to have the super baggy relaxed fit most carhartt pants come in. I make aluminum boats and the footing when built upside down can be treacherous and the tapered leg is nice so it doesn't snag while walking. The rear pockets have a solid, double lining in the bottom that should hold up to glompers and a quick square. The side pockets hold sharpies and my large phone although sometimes in the way while driving etc. Great pants over all

Pants didn't even last a year. They are worth 35 dollars not 44.
4 January 2022

In the beginning I loved these pants. But I have to say, Carhartt is very far from what they used to be. Go figure. In less than 6 months of owning them the fabric thinned and tore above the knee at your quad area. I bought the brown pair 36w 36L and the same size in the black. The black pair was significantly tighter. A common first sign of poor quality is no consistency in sizing. The black pair said 36W 36L but I think they were definitely 34W 36L. A pair of dickies still cost less and last longer than carhartt.Every since the founders kids took over the business they have been cutting cost on materials but their prices don't reflect that for the customer. I would gladly pay 35 dollars for these pants but not 44. Not worth it for a pair of "work pants" that ... MoreIn the beginning I loved these pants. Testing
20 May 2023

I have always liked the appearance of Carhartt pants and have purchased them before. That was probably 10 years ago, those pants were too baggy for me. What I didn't know then is Carhartt make various styles. I needed the slim trim look. None of the local stores in my town carry the Straight Fit Style so I went online. I have purchased three pair recently and love them. You can't go wrong with Carhartt.

Way Too Tight
2 February 2023

I am a pretty solid 32x32 in all brands, including my old Carhartts. I got straight fit because, as an ultra runner, typically those fit well. These however are SO tight that I can barely bend my knee to get in my truck or step up on a ladder. They do not stretch one bit. Unfortunately, these pants are so tight that they're almost too uncomfortable to wear and to restrictive to be functional. I hoped maybe they'd break in some but I got these as a Christmas gift and no luck yet.

Rather unhappy with these pants. I have had two different sets have a tooth break out of the zipper so they are rendered useless. I do work in a rough environment but i have had much cheaper pants stand up much longer. I contacted customer support via the chat function and they wanted to send me a zipper kit, so they expect me to have the ability to completely remove a zipper from my pants and re install a new one. I tried to explain that its not the pull-tab but actual "teeth" that broke out of the zipper tape. I do not own a sewing machine or know how to use one so this solution seems ridiculous. Other options were a 10% discount on a new purchase or send it to them to fix which would take 4-5 weeks once they receive it.
