I am a man who the universe saw fit to grant a few extra layers of insulation. I am also particular about how I feel about comfort. Given those two points, I enjoy some wiggle and jiggle room within my casual t-shirts. I also like to have some length that doesn't make me feel like I'm about to do a mid-90's photo shoot showing off my pregnancy belly as my shirt rides up. If you're similar - even a little - you know finding the right t-shirt can be difficult. Well friend, look no more. This one's got you.At typical size, it's roomy but not overly so. It's got the right space in the right places so you don't feel pinched or like an exploding sausage about to burst forth. It's also long enough. Not like you're wearing a pocketed moo-moo. No, just an extra inch or so ... MoreI am a man who the universe saw fit to grant a few extra layers of insulation. I am also particular about how I feel about comfort. No, just an extra inch or so to make sure you're not spending your time relaxing and pulling your shirt down continuously. On those two factors alone, it's worth the price. But, let me tell you about the overall quality. These are good, road-worthy t-shirts. These aren't some fabric pulled from the delicates line. Oh no, these are thick and rugged and they wash well. That means after the first wash, they stay the same size! That's pretty amazing. Yeah, they aren't a wally-world special you get five-for-ten dollars, but they are worth every penny. These are the kind of t-shirts your heirs will be wondering what to do with after you're long gone from this world.Don't play around. Buy it. You'll be pleased!

The K87 shirt in previous years was quite good. A thick and durable shirt for work that had a good fit. It was comfortable. Well that all changed within the last couple years. When the shirt switched from "original fit" to "loose fit" carhartt claimed it was the same exact fit but it was not. It was overall bigger and looser, not a good fit. Also, at some point over the past couple years the quality of these shirts have gone. They use to be thicker, softer and didn't stretch out so easy. Also many of the new ones have a bunch of polyester in them that causes pilling. What a shame cathartt.

I own several Carhartt K87 T shirts. The standard length is longer than many other brands. The TALL version is really tall. I wear 2XL standard length now. 6 ft tall, 240 lbs. I started with 2XL TALL, but they were longer than I need. Both size shirts fit well and are very comfortable. The black Friday prices were very good. I am on the email list to get notified about other sales during the year. I also wear Carhartt long pants and shorts. Shipping was fast, shirts arrived quickly. Highly recommend Carhart products.

I haven't had any issues with these shirts. They last longer than most t-shirts I've ever owned. The neck shows wear first but the stitching stays solid, and the back holds up for quite a long while. Going on ten years for my oldest shirt - its best days are behind it, but it continues to hold up for everyday purposes. These shirts match comfort with durability better than most - they are a little bit heavier, but they are quite a bit sturdier. They are made in Guatemala.. Apparently where all of the finest t-shirts are made.. Definitely better made than any other t-shirt I've ever owned..I ordered more to replace my older shirs because these lasted quite a while and because the price was still realistic.I wear the older shirts for jobs that might normally destroy ... MoreI haven't had any issues with these shirts. I bought several shirts for work and they've been fantastic. The fabric is very durable, breathable for working outside, and stretches for flexibility. Its loose fitting so it moves with you. There is extra fabric at the bottom of the shirt if you like to tuck it inside your pants while your work. Comfortable to wear even if you are not using it for work. Overall it has excellent construction. I like the variety of colors available. I love the Carhartt brand and the quality of their clothes. Definitely plan on buying more.
Just received mine after waiting 9 days which was a disaster trying to find the updated location after they were shipped. UPS and sender was the reason. I don't believe they are 6.75 heavyweight t-shirts. I've been purchasing Carhartt shirts, long sleeve and short for the last 8 years and I've seen the quality of the thickness less and what it used to be. I'd rather see the price go up in the quality stay the same I'm sure many people would agree with that. I just purchased two long sleeve heavyweight shirts from tractor supply, I didn't want to deal with shipping again. I believe they're also a lighter weight than they used to be. So pardon me for being honest. I paid $19.99 for the short sleeve shirts. So I think that's it for Carhartt and me.
So, there was a rabbit ...I was walking my dogs, and they spotted a rabbit. The dogs went after the bunny, caught me off balance and pulled me over, hard. The cinder (lava rocks) driveway tore up my arm, tore a hole in my heavy jeans and tore up my knee. My Loose Fit Pocket Tee, however, did not tear and the shoulder where I landed was only bruised as a result - no cuts or scrapes. The jeans are now fit to be shorts but my Loose Fit Pocket Tee shirt is essentially unscathed. Would definitely recommend. ;-)P.S. My good and brave girls successfully chased off the evil rabbit and saved my family.
The new "heavy weight" tshirts are now over 2 oz lighter. The reason I know this is because I've been buying these shirts for 8 years and now they are ruined. I bought 2 new shirts and noticed they felt quite a bit thinner so I returned them and then went to another store because I thought I was losing my mind. So I bought 2 more and these also felt thinner so I actually weighed them. My older Carhartt shirts weigh around 14.5 oz after several washes. These new shirts weigh 12.3 oz and what a huge difference. They now feel cheaply made and quite frankly I'm disgusted by this. I can't believe you guys made these shirts 2-3 ounces lighter just to save a few bucks. The reason these sell so well is because they are thick, I'm a big guy I like thick shirts. You did this to save money but it's going to end up costing you in the long run. I won't be the only person who notices this. I know I'm only one customer but you've now lost me for good.On a lighter note, whoever in your company made this decision should be terminated.
Carhartt, let me start out by saying my husband absolutely loves your T-shirts. At least, those you were producing two years ago. I recently ordered 6 shirts for him in various colors, because they were his favorite. Unfortunately, it looks like you've cheaped out on production. That heavy duty cotton feel he loved has been replaced by a lighter weight fabric. He threw them all in the washer before wearing them, so I couldn't send them back. Don't get me wrong - they're still better than Dickie's or similar brands, but definitely not the quality we were expecting from Carhartt. We're very disappointed.
