Easy to adjust for use with and without spectacles. Comes complete with lens and eye piece caps and a robust neck strap. Most importantly they provide a quality sharp magnified image.

For binos up to $1000, these had the best image quality. I tried Vortex, Leica and Leupold. Zeiss stood out to as the best. I appreciate the rubberized feel of these over the others, as well. Most comfortable and secure to hold up to my face. There is a little learning curve to prevent the black bean effect (look it up) and will likely be ordering eye relief cups to fix a minor issue for me. For those using with eye glasses, I doubt there would be much issue.

These Zeiss doesnt disappoint as a hunting binoculars. Crisp clear images with fast precise focus adjustments makes these perfect for hunting. Just the right size and weight for all day trekking. Not as good as the premier models but still has a great value for what you get for the price. Rugged and well built.

The Cornell lab of Ornithology rated it at the very top in image and clarity. I wanted this 8x32 (what has become the best all around size for me) for several years, but couldn't justify a grand. Got it used for $750 including taxes and shipping. I do like it very much and expect it to be my last binocular. However, in close A B comparison with a Leupold 8x32 Yosemite porro the difference is no where near ten times price difference. There is definitely excellent quality available in the lower price range of modern optics. The Conquest is definitely better, kind of like a higher pixel count image. For serious birder's, it is worth it. I'm a scientist who needs to pack efficiently for field expeditions in the Arctic. My gear needs to have top performance and durability, while not overencumbering my day pack. These binoculars meet my exacting requirements. The field of view is broad, the focus is smooth and not over-sensitive, the clarity across the image is outstanding, they're not too bulky or heavy, and they work great in low light. They're a big improvement over the big name Japanese brand I've been using.
My 8X56 Zeiss has Schott lenses and they're purged with Nitrogen gas; and they're adequate; I have Minox HG that are magnesium chassis and are purged with argon gas and have Carl Zeiss objectives made by Schott that was purchased by Carl Zeiss.... one can do better; technology for premium glasses have advanced a bit. Roof prism Carl Zeiss 8X56 should be seen first; they will be 2X more expensive. at least.
This binocular is ideal for bird watching the definition is stunning. With a great field of view it comes into its own in woods where it can be dark the light transmission is very good it is now my choice of binocular plus as a bonus you can slip them into a pocket so they will be taken on my next trip to Scotland. I truthly can't find any thing to moan about except my daughter wants to take them to Peru. Only if I can come too! The Amazon rain forest would be no match for these binoculars there built tough! Yet so easy to handle a great tool for observation in any inviroment.
Pin sharp central image. Very good transmission. Wide field of view. Smooth focussing. Excellent eye relief. Very comfortable eyecups. Not too heavy.
My old binoculars have never exceeded $400 in cost and these are definitely a step up in terms of clarity. The problem in buying binoculars is do they feel comfortable with extended use and do they fit your face and eyes? That makes it hard to buy binoculars at a store or online - you don't really know until you've used them for awhile. I'm still adjusting to these but do appreciate their qualities. I wish their eye relief was better but then, no binoculars have ever been perfect for me. They were sold as demonstrator models and they arrived as if they were never used so that was great considering the price was lower than a fully new model.
well to start with I like the glass and the combo of 8x56, you can hold them steady with out to much problem. I was a little surprised at how stiff the eye piece was to turn in and out for a ziess product.the focus wheel was also a little stiff at first I was a little disappointed,but I do have a pair of 10x56 ziess victory's so I was comparing them to those. I haven't had them in the field yet but testing them out in evening light they do show that they are high quality optics there just not victory's (twice the price) I got them to hunt under the forest canopy so I could have a wider field of view at closer ranges than the 10 power gives me. as far as price I looked everywhere and these were by far the best price for 8x56 ziess and a good deal for sure I look ... Morewell to start with I like the glass and the combo of 8x56, you can hold them steady with out to much problem.
