I had played carnival games on other Nintendo platforms, and they were always amusing, so I assumed this would be the same. and I was right. the game allows four people to play at the same time (if you have enough controllers) with each person using one of the handsets. the controls are easy to learn, and the games are fun and competitive.if you're playing with more than one person, i recommend docking the switch and playing on a TV, because there is a lot to see and two or more heads trying to hover over the switch itself would be tough.I haven't played all the games, but they're all good and use different skills, so you can be good at one and bad at another, and still have a good time.

This game is great for competitive group play, mini-game lovers, as well as anyone who doesn't have hours at a time to play their game system. Each mini game takes less than 5 minutes to play (about 15 minutes for first time avatar setup- but only needs to be done 1 time). Some of the games are easy enough to "master" in a few minutes, others take quite a while to even learn the control system. My 3-year old son likes to play, but loves to watch me play, and jumps around excitedly at all new achievements. Some of the in-game achievements are structured that it will take many hours of play to achieve, but if you get tired of the same mini-game over and over again, you have many others to choose from.Overall I am quite happy with this purchase. I have the original for Wii which I like but always thought the screens loaded too slow and some of the games are really hard to play. The New Carnival Games took care of both those issues. It also added a ton of new games while keeping the atmosphere of the old game. It does still have ski ball and a basketball game but they are different from the old game. I like how fast the menus switch between screens and they added a much needed skip button so you can get through the graphics quicker for impatient players like myself. In every area there is also a side quest with some member of the carnival looking for an item. I haven't figured out how to get those yet though. Look at what you are buying, they're carnival games, not strategy games.Have a circus themed party and play the game for real prizes. Try out all the games first to feel out the controls. The haunted house & target shooting are the best. The coin toss works really well too. The skeetball takes a littlepractice but once you feel it out it's easy. Speed bingo is super hard and lots of fun! It plays best when one person marks the cards and another person helps out with looking for matching numbers. My wife and I got bingo in 17 calls that way. Some of the games are dumb and the prize collecting is kind of useless unless you really get into that kind of thing in a game. But overall there is a lot to find and play in this game. But it is intended as a party/family night type of game. Not really for the Call of Duty:Black Ops type of game player.

Had a kick out of the game playing 2-player mode with 2-AI. Some of the games are challenging. Others are super addicting and fun. A little less than a handful, I felt was not so fun (maybe because I was awful at them?). My girlfriend and I beat the game in 3 hours and unlocked all the different games. You could still personalize your character with neat outfits and accessories. Would probably be fun for hours with a group of 4-players. I recommend it if it’s still sitting at $20 or less.

First off, to other reviewers of this game, get over the "have to unlock games" rant. I almost did not buy game because of that complaint. Imagine my surprise when it took me all of 45 minutes of play to unlock all the games. I played each of the unlocked games like 4 times and had earned enough tickets to unlock the remaining games and I suck at gaming. The games are a mix of silly games and fun games with a few really good games. It is a good mix that will entertain children and pass some time for adults. Up to 4 players can play each game and if you play alone you play against 3 AIs at you choice of easy, medium and hard. once you unlock all the games, use can use your tickets to unlock customizations for you game character avatar. I bought this game on Black Friday for $27.00 and I can tell you it is well worth the money I spent on it. I have played the original Carnival Games and then played this one...both are great in my opinion. My favorite game is the gold rush Alley Ball...I am a skeeball junkie that is probably why I favor that game a little more. ButI have played all the games and they are great. The game where you have stand the bottle up takes paitients and timing your movements. If you were a fan of the original I highly recommend this one to you! I give 5 Stars!

I am a HUGE fan of the original Carnival game, to date, it's my all time favorite. I was wowed right away at some upgrades to the intro screen and graphics. I didn't mind the cheap graphics in the original, because it was all about the gameplay. I LOVE carnival style games, and love simplicity, and get to the point gameplay. I was THRILLED to see a follow up, that stayed true to the gameplay, and added brand new and GOOD games. Those games alone made the purchase worth every penny! If you like to casually play for a few minutes, or for hours, this game is sure to keep you entertained. Games are addictive! Would be fun for all ages.About 33 different games. Some key carnival games included is Bottle Stand Up, raise the bottle with the pole. the game itself is fine! nothing too crazy but there are a couple fun ones. beware though- they send it to you unsealed and if you try to return it they won’t let you “because they don’t accept any opened games.” maam it’s literally a refurbished game. after some terrible walmart service %26 a refusal to help, 1-800-walmart told me to keep the game %26 i got a refund. just so yall know lol
