Everything works. The alarm tone needs to be a lot louder or maybe better would be to have a vibrate added to the alarms and timers. I can not hear the alarms without putting the watch in my ear. The solar battery seems to work well. The radio system works pretty well. Seems I can't receive the Fort Collins signal except at night but that is fine. The el lighting works well. It's waterproof to 660 ft which is more than adequate for my needs. Glad I bought the watch.

This model has the negative display meaning the numbers are clear and the background is blacked out. This can be hard to see from some angles in certain light, but I find it works for me and it looks very cool! Once the local tide info has been set up, it's very accurate with the display and can be relied upon. Very handy for a mariner or in my case a costal walker and off road driver. You can not find a better product for $100 odd USD. Its comfortable, stylish and not for the minimalists. It has a presence on your wrist. it packs multiple useful features that any outdoor person would like. I have bought this as my Range watch, when i go shooting or hunting. Its Atomic Time feature is good, no need to correct time every now or then.

I had a G-Shock in the late 90s and loved it, though the battery ran out and then lost its waterproof characteristics with a local battery replacement. I was keen to get another but this time with the solar power, and thought this looked great with the negative display. It does look great, so long as you don't want to read the display in anything other than ideal conditions. Sadly, I prefer to be able to see the time on a watch, so this is getting returned and I'll order the standard display version.

It doesn't get in your way either! It has every time-based function you need on a watch, so has no functions such a compass etc, but this makes this watch what it is and what it should be - a fantastic time-keeper and an invaluable tool.It's very rugged and, despite varied use, it's survived so far with zero scratches and no damage to the strap either. It's as reliable and as comfy as it was when new, looking like it's a new watch still!I highly recommend this watch if you're looking for a watch that is rugged and difficult to damage (especially with it's drop protection), that's accurate, has all the valuable time-based tools you need and one that looks good and is very reliable.
Im a mechanical watch guy but something about this all digital G spoke to me. I love the fact its solar powered AND syncs with the Atomic clock in CO via radio signal. Its waterproof so I can swim with it. Its also indestructible. It has useful features like stopwatch, 4 alarm settings, multiple time zone, moon phase, tide schedule. Plus it looks badass. Its an amazing piece of wrist technology. I still love my Omegas and other Swiss mechanical timepieces but its hard to beat the G with its combination of features and value. Any watch that our soldiers and first responders swear by gets the nod from me too. Fantastic watch. You wont be disappointed.
Not much can be said about the watch. It's just typical G-shock awesomeness with a cool stealth vibe and the large buttons are a definite improvement over the small metal ones especially when wearing neoprene gloves. It can be hard to read initially, but I quckly got used to that and being solar powered/charged there's no need to worry about the 10yr rechargeable battery being drained by over using the light, so you may as well just set it to automatic…unless stealth is a practical concern. My only gripe is that the countdown timer cannot be set to the second, with only hiurs and minutes being accessible for setting.Delivery was quick and the watch was well packaged in it's tin and box.
Great watch with usable features that are easy to navigate within a few days. The negative/reverse screen image takes getting used to as you need the correct angle to view with older eyes (54). Getting used to viewing but be prepared for this adjustment. Very tacticool look and extremely useful. High quality tough watch, goes everywhere!
The watch is very comfortable to wear tells you everything time ,date, month, and year in large clear figures, plus like all g shocks is 200m water resistant and very rugged. it is a watch i would wear in all weather conditions this is one of more g shocks i own and i am always checking for future models of interest. and not forgetting it is solar powered and has radio controlled time for total accuracy.
This watch is amazing! Everything you need and even the box it comes in is just beautiful. I bought this for my fiancée who is starting the journey of becoming a police officer and she couldn’t be happier with it. The tide and moon feature is a lovely touch to this amazing watch.My one critic would be the Klana app/option. I had nothing but trouble with it so wouldn’t recommend it. Just buy a watch outright if you can like I did, save any hassle.Highly recommend this watch to anyone.
