In the past I bought a normal keyboard without weighted key. In my case those were wasted money (and wasted time). Finally I understood that it's the pleasure to play the gasoline for the engine to learn a musical instruments. Playing this keyboard is a pleasure, touching the keys, the feeling, is worthy the money. (I'm a beginner, just starting playing)

This is the perfect starter digital piano for beginners and more experienced players. It comes with a dampener pedal and a backstand for music sheets. The fact that it also runs on batteries (6x AA) as well as on power is great, making this piano super portable. While the piano includes an AC power adaptor, it actually only uses 12V power (but there is no 12v plug included). The piano has 10 different sounds, including three for a regular piano, three for an electric piano and four other sounds (i.e. strings, harpsichord etc). It also has a built in metronome and other features. They keys are touch responsive, and the firmer you press the louder the sound is. They're also weighted like an actual piano. I love that a digital piano can be adjusted with volume if you want kids to practice playing quietly so as not to disturb others in the house. You can also use headphones if you want complete silence for others. I haven't tested out the USB function yet by hooking it up to a device or using an app for piano practice, but I'm sure that feature is also pretty great. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase as postage from Better Music was fast and reliable. I also happened to buy this piano when Casio had a special cashback deal on, and was able to get $90 back within 2 days of making my purchase. Score!
After having a previous Casio keyboard for almost 15 year it was time for an upgrade! Casio’s weighted keyboards are the closest thing to real keys that I’ve found at an affordable price, and I couldn’t be happier! Also the size of this keyboard is practically 3/4’s the size of my previous, so portability with be easier than ever. Lastly this even runs on batteries so no longer will I have to worry about playing at a venue with access to a power supply. Of course it works with MIDI so I can plug this into a computer or even iOS device, and access additional sounds past the built in 10. Overall so happy with my purchase!
Catch one on sale and you really can't complain. Nice touch, nice piano, passable electric piano, nice clean look. As compact and light as an 88 weighted key piano could be. Biggest disappointment: you can layer two tones, but you can't set the balance between the two tones' volume level. The preset balances are terrible. This has got to be about the only keyboard with a layer function but not a balance function. Even some Casio reps I spoke to about this were either surprised, uninformed, or mistaken.
