Casio G-Shock DW5600E-1V Men's Watch

For any Gringos living in Chile and needing a new watch, I recommend this seller. I was searching for a simple, rugged watch with no complications and found that search engines kept on sending me to the same few big resellers in Chile, nome of whom were offering exactly what I wanted. I eventually found Dando La Hora and the simple Casio G-shock I needed, and at a very competitive price. Of course, the humorous website with tales from the Mothership swung it for me. The watch arrived within two days during the pandemic, together with more tales from the Final Frontier, and proved as good as expected, so altogether a refreshing 'retail experience' away from the retail giants and multi-billionaires of cartel Santiago!

Amazing price for one of the coolest LE squares!

This is by far my favorite square special edition. Gold lettering, gold negative display, good basic functions, great price, and a soft comfortable band compared to a normal dw5600. The black water theme looks so cool in person as well. I was also pleased to see that is made in Thailand and not China. I am so happy I bought this watch, I already added some mods to make it my own. I added some gold bull bars and a strap just to save those beautiful factory bands ??

Best watch money can buy

I’ve been a G Shock wearer since 1988 when I got my first one. The old ones were stainless steel under the resin...and the resin generally didn’t last long before it would crumble.The new DW5600 is much improved. The resin seemingly lasts forever and the watch it’s self is a polycarbonate which is not only stronger...it’s lighter and thinner though they look the same from the exterior. These new ones (this came out in 96) have a much better EL backlight as well. What makes this truly great is the features. It has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Time/day/date, countdown timer, alarm, stopwatch...and it shows the current time in all modes...the only g shock with this feature. The battery life is way under rated by Casio...most of mine have gone between 5-10 years fwiw.It’s also the toughest of the g shock lineup holding several world records for various feats. Other important things to note is the profile...it’s thin enough to easily slip under a shirt or jacket cuff which is especially nice for me as I’m a fire fighter and it slides under the sleeve of my turnout gear as my other bulky g shocks wouldn’t. It’s also very stylish with its retro 80s appearance.Can’t say too many great things bout this watch. If you want a tough, go anywhere, do anything accurate and reliable time piece look no further. GShock black dw5600

Wanted a sturdy, waterproof comfortable watch for holidays. This ticks all the boxes. Lightweight, rugged and waterproof to 200m. Also has the usual Casio features; stopwatch, timer and alarm. Clear backlight too. Easy to order at good price and could have collected same day from store. Delivery seemed just as simple but easier for me to collect from local shop. Helpful staff in store.

Great watch - I am thinking I am going to buy one for myself!!!!

This has to be one of the coolest watches ever! Ruggedly good-looking, very functional, and loads of fun!. I bought this watch for one of my kids and it really has a cool factor due to its reputation for being indestructible. This watch is a reissue of the original look and design and I really think (and so do my kids) that it is truly amazing! Great job as always Casio!!!

Impressive Timepiece

Diane, this is - an extremely fine watch. Quite the impressive piece of technology. Now, I love its shock-resistant design, it's a reliable companion for every day adventurers. The digital display is easy to read. Backlight - bright! About as bright as its classic design, which will never go out of style. Overall, I would highly recommend this timepiece to anyone in need of a durable and stylish watch.

People say i have good taste and this looks great. Time, day, date, alarm & stopwatch. All you need. Cant beat the black on black look.

This is my first G shock watch. I was looking for an old school simple but reliable digital watch and this seems to be the standard model but in black on black. I thought it would be more hefty but I have nothing to compare it to. $50 price is kinda steep but only time will tell. Ive had other more expensive watches that would break due to my rough use so if this works for more than a year w/o issues then its well worth it. I would buy this as a gift w/o hesitation. Its hard to read w/o good lighting, but thats what the back light button is for. I like the way it looks the more I look at it on my wrist. Plan on ordering more to give away as gifts. Great price but no box nor manual. Simple but looks very cool.

Rugged watch with accurate time

I previously had one of these watches and loved it. After many years I accidentally broke the band and have now replaced it. The Casio G-Shock is the only digital watch I've ever liked. It's easy to set, it keeps extremely accurate time, and it puts up with my mistreatment as though nothing happened. I've worn it in the shower, dropped it on hard ground, and it still hasn't missed a beat. I don't often use the stopwatch, alarm and timekeepers, but they have come in handy when I've needed them. I usually wear dress watches when I go to important functions, but for everyday knock-around wear this digital watch is perfect.

Shock and Awe

Just a great example of an affordable and durable digital watch that can be kept clean or worn without care. Definitely reminds me of the Casio watches I had as a kid. It's very light and wears comfortably. If you are buying this from OD, you probably either already had one or at least already know all about its features and history. It's definitely a nostalgic piece.

love the watch, little hard to read in lower light

Love this watch, the only problem I have with it is that the dark screen is harder to read in low light than a normal LCD. With the light engaged it is very easy to read however. It is easy to read in good light and importantly for me the day and date is easy to read. Nice if you could change the date format as it's in the American style. Still I think it looks so good it's worth the lower functionality. The watch is light in weight compared to other g shocks but still feels like quality. Love the red highlights. Overall very happy with this watch.
