It's a clever little analogue/digital watch with good looks. The sunburst dial comes to life in the sun - which surprised me! Brilliant yellow resin is refreshing but the material is not as supple as the usual Casio black resin bands - I guess it's the nature of the coloured material that is used. A little larger on the wrist than say, the 5600/5000 resin or 'full-metal squares', but its lightness makes up for this.Usual casio functionality, which is just great fun especially when watching the hands spin. Found watch overly complicated to actually set the time initially. The digital screen is tiny and the process complicated and long winded (mine needed resetting because of magnetic interference or jarring during transit). As a result I've not bothered with any other functions. Not at all user friendly.That said, now the time and date have been set I absolutely love the thing. Light, comfortable and looks amazing.Overall as much as I love the look and feel, and as much as the ruggedness of it might be a plus, I'm not sure I'd buy another one, simply because of the hassle setting the thing up.

I wanted a watch that I could do DIY in and not worry about it getting trashed. I definitely found the right one. The looks are amazing with the bright yellow sticking out very well indeed. It is incredibly light but with the impact gubbins inside I’m sure its lightness has no bearing on its quality. The buckle? I’m not sure. Only time will tell. The only thing that is a slight let down and hence the 4 stars is that the second, date and month numbers are dark and not easy to read. Apart from that the dial is very readable and a pleasure to look at. When I ordered my watch I was amazed at the level of service I received as the watch actually arrived before it should have. Nice special Deadpool edition watch. Auto time set by zone, not too hard to navigate. Even though I knew it didn't have a date function, this would of been nice. It has two wats of time shown, one with the standard sword hands and the other is the digital time . The Bluetooth function is useless really, its only function is to find your phone with a small sounding beep. But this is all I need, I don't need a crazy modern digital watch to read messages and to constantly charge ect. This is simple, works and changes in the sun. It needs half a day's worth of dire t sunlight to charge, at least once a month. However, other light sources can work (so I'm led to believe).
Everything you can expect of a g-shock: sturdy and tough.Pros:- The red accents look great- Tough- Solar poweredCons:- It's actually pretty difficult to see the dial in dark environments (but it does have an LED)- Sure it's tough, but the lens is a mineral crystal which is a scratch magnet- This could be my individual experience, but it took a very long time to charge to "H" level. I'm talking about 10 hours in direct sunlight.Really, in the end, watches are a subjective preference, and this one wasn't for me. However, if g-shock is your style, this watch is pretty good at the price point.
This watch compliments my G Shock 5610 as ‘the other beater’ - I’m a fan of these solar G Shock watches which have various methods to set the time accurately, they always tell the proper time and the battery never needs changing so they are very low maintenance. However, I made the mistake of buying my last G Shock with a negative display; it has it’s charms and functional plus points but it’s not the easiest to read at a glance. so I sought to rectify these gripes with this watch.This 2100 is great. Just as comfortable as the 5610, easier to read and just as low maintenance. The bright yellow color stands out, although it tends to show stains easily, which can be a minor inconvenience. Despite this, the watch performs exceptionally well.
