A great G-Shock choice

The product is exactly as described, functional, of very good quality and has everything one would need for day to day use. World time, stop watch and count-down, a number of alarms and, above all, it's powered by solar energy which is great (forgetting a battery replacement every year or so).Even though the band is quite firm, it still manages to be comfortable on the wrist.Best of all, is the automatic illumination (when set to auto), that tells the time in darkness, every time the user lifts their arm toward their face. Magic!One other great (for me) feature of this watch is the hourly 'chime' that reminds me each hour. Comfortable and affordable. The best cost/benefit for smaller wrists.

Pros: For me the best G-Shock, probably one of the smallest and because of that very comfortable on my skinny wrist and also very light that helps on that too. Solar with regular Casio funcionalities, chronograph, countdown timer. world time and multiple alarm. Of course its tough as a G-Shock should be. Cons: For me the EL and the recessed display makes a bit hard to read in some angles, some standard Casios are a bit better. Finishing is compatible with the price. Its a simple and affordable G-Shock so NO multiband 6, combi bracelet, steel case or screwback case, for me its positive because keeps the weight low, but for some thats a negative. No multiband 6, I cant pick signal here so...

Great Value for a Great Watch

I own many different watches, including Omega and other brands, but wanted to get this for exercising - I use it for running and swimming. Its a really great watch for the price and has its own retro-vibe. I find myself wearing it even when Im not exercising, but obviously wouldnt suit all occasions, as its a little bulky and plastic. I love that its indestructible and that I wont have to worry about changing the battery for a decade or two. I have smallish wrists (6.5 inches) but it still fits nicely. All this for an affordable price. Definitely worth it.

Life proof watch

The best watch ever. Wear it in any weather, any condition. Swim or dive or walk in a desert, go diving in an ocean, visit arctic or antarctic, go to space. This watch won’t let you down. Oh, and it doesn’t need a battery change, ever. This watch is basically life proof. Own one.

Simple, tough & functional watch for minimalists!

The task was simple. I was looking for a minimalistic, rugged, functional, good looking and affordable wrist watch to replace my Suunto Core.I thought that should be fairly easy, but surprisingly there's not many wrist watch out there that offer essential functionality with style! It's either one with too many functions which ends up costing a lot more, or too simple but still cost a lot.Then I found this G-Shock, it ticks all the boxes, and it's solar powered too (which means that I don't have to worry about replacing the battery, ever!).I'm loving this wrist watch and would highly recommend!

The greatest watch in the cosmos

10 years ago I replaced my Omega Seamaster with a Casio G-Shock 5600E-1. Initially I bought it as a cheap 'fill in' watch until I purchased another Swiss time peice. I eventually bought an automatic Tag Heuer , which was classy and great, but I ended up wearing my Casio more and more - particularly when I was out bashing around. In the end, I gave the TAG away and only wear my Casio. It is indestructible, comfortable and super reliable. There is no battery to replace, no servicing requirements and it never stops or needs to be wound if it doesn't move for a few days. My original Casio 5600E-1 is still going strong and if I ever have to replace it, well, I'll be buying exactly the same model.
