Casio Men's Black G-Shock Mudman Watch G9300GB-1

This is the second watch I bought from creation watches and I am very satisfied. It took about 10 days to receive it and the watch is perfect. The store is very helpfull and has a very proffesional response!

Does what it needs to do. Looks pretty, too.

I needed a tough, durable watch which I wouldn't have to remove unless showering and this is just the ticket. I do a lot of gardening and this lives up to its name. Been elbow-deep in dirt and a simple damp cloth keeps it looking new. The stopwatch/timer functions are really handy too and saves me from having to have my phone on me all the time. The gold and black colour scheme is aesthetically pleasing, but some people may find the lack of contrast between the time display and the watch face annoying. I don't mind, and the light up function fixes this anyway. Can't really speak to the other, more outdoorsy functions because I haven't had a chance to test them yet. It's a really good watch just the band clasp keeps moving on me maybe it's a little too loose. But other than that yes it is a nice watch.

Ive always liked the look of negative digital display watches, but I read that visibility on this model is a major problem. Apparently people couldnt read it. When the watch finally came in the mail the first thing I did was check the display at various angles and light levels. I can honestly say that the display is bright and easily legible in most light levels. In dim light it is indeed a little fuzzier, but still legible. I dont have the greatest vision, but I have had no more problems reading this watch in low light than have with positive-display watches. No, you do not need a direct light source to read the display. Yes, I have had to use the onboard glow feature in very low light levels or complete darkness, but again that is also the case with positive display watches.And if you own the G-Shock GA110 whose side-mounted light feature leaves something to be desired, fear not. The Muddie has a strong, green glow from the backlight. Another concern I had from the reviews Ive read is that the buttons are hard to press. I will say that while they do require a little more force to press, they are by no means difficult. If anything they feel solid and well-built, and you get the impression that you are not compromising any water and dirt-resistant seals when you press them. On top of that the rubber used for the buttons is textured so they are easy to grip, even when wet. If you are not sure you are pressing the buttons properly, you can turn on the beep setting (I believe it is turned on by default) that lets you know you just pressed a button with an audible but not annoying chime. Again, I have no complaints. Overall the watch is the perfect weight and, while it is still pretty big on the wrist, its not ridiculous. The casing seems to be pretty resistant to damage as Ive accidentally knocked the watch into a few walls and desks with no apparent scuffing. While I do wish the buckle was double-pronged like the GA110, the single prong feels sufficient (and it is gold to match the seconds/compass display on the watch face). The compass works reasonably well even while being worn (instruction recommend you remove the watch to use it, but I havent had to). The thermometer reading is heavily influenced by body heat as you can imagine, so if you need a more accurate reading you do have to remove the watch from your wrist. I synced the time down to the second with the U.S. Atomic Clock and it is still accurate down to the second. The moon phases have also been spot-on so far. The settings are easier than I was expecting. Use the manual the first time and youll be set for life. As for the look, its much cooler than I was expecting. Ive worn the Muddie everywhere from cutting the lawn to a suit-and-tie business meeting, and it seems to work everywhere. The watch is 100% jet-black with the exception of the shiny gold accent on the buckle and watch face, so it looks rich for a digital watch. The negative display (now my favorite thing about it) complements the black perfectly as does the lettering on the band. It is a very cool-looking watch without being tacky or ostentatious. I have very little to complain about when it comes to G9300GB-1. The only change I would make would be a double-pronged buckle, but it isnt necessary. Also the battery doesnt seem to change as fast as I was expecting it was on Medium through the first several days of wear. Again, I believe this is a non-issue. Really, everything else is perfect, and I am thoroughly impressed. As someone who truly hates the feeling of buyers remorse, I cannot recommend this watch enough.

Nice watch, But hard to read the time at times

Great watch very Comfortable to were lots of features for the price. The display is pretty hard to read at times if not in the right light. And the light doesnt stay on for long enough to read it right at times. And the watch is made in Thailand not Japan. Which not a big deal but you should no that before buying the watch because I would preferred a original Japan made g-shock watch.

Not too big, not too heavy

I have small wrists, and was Worried this watch would be too big, but it's not. It doesn't even feel bulky! The watch itself looks fantastic. Very slick with the black and gold.

This Casio is awesome

I have this watch nearly 16 months. It keeps the time. It is comfortable. It is a little bulky. I never need to purchase batteries again. To date I have no problems with it.

Very Satisfied

Purchased this model amongst many other because it was a special edition. I like the all black tone with touch of gold. It does make a statement and I have received some compliments already. My first G-Shock purchase and so far no problems to report, albeit I have not had a chance to put it through the ringer of the sense of mud, excessive water, and scuffs & bumps. I definitely appreciate the styling, the surprising amount of lightweight-edness of the watch (especially for looking heavier than it actually is). Very satisfied and am now looking forward to my next G-Shcok purchase :)
