Perfetto by Name, Perfetto by Nature It was the Castelli Pro riders who first asked for a Gabba that’s not as hot as the original but warmer than the Perfetto Undershirt. So with the Gabba as a starting point Castelli have made the back in Nano Light fabric - the same fabric as their Nano Flex pantyhose but without the brushed fleece inside. This gives the piece a lot of breathability and keeps you from overheating inside. By using a lighter weight of Windstopper (a full 25% lighter than the one used on the Gabba) on the front the overall weight was further minimized. You may think that this is filling a very small niche. But just try it. It can cover most of the conditions of the Gabba (except wet racing and very cold), yet it handles warmer temperatures better. And the fit is exceptional, which is one more reason you’ll keep reaching for it. The consensus of the Castelli test crew is that this piece doesn't fully replace the Gabba or a Perfetto undershirt but it’s another arrow in your quiver that is ideally suited to cool temperatures, especially when it’s dry or there’s a risk of light rain. Windstopper 150 Fabric Light elastic protection from Castelli’s lightest Windstopper three-layer knit fabric. Total windproofness, excellent breathability, functional stretch and DWR coating for water repellency, this fabric has opened up new possibilities in constructing layered garments for enhanced fit, temperature and moisture management.

Great jersey, named Perfetto for a reason. Comfy, wind-blocking, water repellent and breathable. High collar to protect the neck with smooth lining. Long back and solid deep pockets. A great fit - it's tight with no pieces flapping around yet not restrictive. If it had a zipper on one of the pockets to calm my paranoia about losing the phone on the ride, it would be absolutely perfect.Fit is true to the manufacturer sizing table.

The jersey itself is very well constructed and materials just feel amazing. It appears that "rossocorsa" line is for those super skinny guys that race, so definitely not me. I went up 1 size given the comments and also as I usually do with this Brand ... and ended up looking like a soppressata when I managed to zip this thing up!I admit I have put on a few pounds with the confinement ... but man this is rude and harsh. And the Castelli sizing chart?!?! It looks like they put random numbers there... totally unrealistic!Returning with half of my dignity lost in the process.

The Perfetto light jersey has served me so well through winter day and night rides (temperature ranges 0 to 20 degrees, with appropriate base layer) that I decided to buy a second one. I find it perfect for 2 to 4 hour rides, and even worn it on a 200Km ride in February with warm sunny weather and I never felt any discomfort. I have a 106cm chest, for which the 2XL size is just about right. The fabric and colours look great (I have the yellow fluo and red versions) and the feel of it against one's skin is very smooth. Because of its great versatility, I would highly recommend it, as it can be worn for the most part of the year with an appropriate base layer and arm warmers.

Castelli Perfetto Light Jersey, Top class product, usual castelli high quality, fits well, ordered two sizes up from my usual size, breathable, windproof, water repellent in showery weather, haven't worn it in heavier rain, may not be as waterproof as the gabba, lighter material on the front, nanoflex fabric on the back, but then it is designed for warmer weather. ideal jersey for changeable summer conditions. would highly recommend, does what it says on the tin
Brilliant Jersey. I've got an older Gabba and have always found the tail a bit prone to snagging on the saddle. The Perfetto has a much better cut so this problem has gone away. I bought this ahead of a week in Majorca that turned out to be wet and horrible. I lived in this jersey - it was fantastic; I stayed warm, enjoyed my ride and looked good :0) what more can you ask ? Usual Castelli fit story applies - but you knew that!
Great jersey for riding in mixed weather, would highly recommend! I was caught in a heavy rain shower but the jersey kept me warm and dry. Sun came out and with it the temperature rose to 20 degrees and I didn’t over heat even when climbing. Despite being thicker it didn’t feel heavy or bulky with a nice tight areo fit. Size up if you’re in between sizes as there’s not much give in the fabric.
Not used in heavy rain - but the Perfetto light keeps you wonderfully warm and dry when riding days are cool and damp or just Blustery. Fab piece of kit and ideal for mild British weather. Castelli top quality again! Fab price in the sale too. My only criticism is that the more breathable main back panel is black rather than the bright orange of the front- which makes the rider less visible to other road users. Would recommend. I like it so much I bought another in bright red.
Unfortunately for me and my brother we found these awful fitting. I ordered a large (first one that turned up was faulty) and an XLarge and both didn't fit us. We both own Gabbas in the respective sizes and they fit perfect but the Perfetto light 2 jersey isnt the same. Just be aware! Even the Xlarge was too small. Gutted as Castelli is usually my go to brand.
Bought this for early Autumn rides and windy / light rain conditions. I think in general a good merino mid weight jersey can do a sterling job keeping the wind at bay, especially paired with a lightweight merino base layer, but the Perfetto will have an advantage over merino whenever the air is humid or the wind is particularly strong. It is bulkier than I expected, but my concerns over wicking properties were mostly unfounded. I would say this can be worn down to 6-7C paired with proper arm warmers, with just a thin base layer (if you ride in high tempo). Basically a jacket for the cool days from April to October (Southeast UK).
fabulous jersey for the transition to warmer weather, particulaly when paired with a set of arm-warmers. well suited from 10-20ish Celsius temperatures, guarding against wind and/or damp conditions. If you don't know Castelli sizing, I'd say size up 1 1/2 sizes and it will fit nicely. If you're a fan of Castelli, it's sized typically Castelli.
